  • The first episode of this show I've seen, and it's GREAT.

    8.5
While I may not know much background on the main characters since I still haven't seen the first three episode, "Justine" was an awesome episode and just as good an episode as any for me to be introduced to "Touching Evil".

Our main characters are investigating the murders of several women who are all dressed the same way, a fantasy of the killer who is in love with a woman named Justine, currently in prison. They work with Justine to find the killer.

This episode was pretty dark and I have to wonder if this could ever air on network television. The writing was extremely good. I started the episode, intending to watch a bit and finish it later, but it was so good and addicting I had watched the whole thing before realizing it. This is definitely no "CSI", and that's a good thing. It's a breath of fresh air to the dying crime genre, and on the same level of addictiveness and just plain awesomeness of "The Inside".

I can't wait to watch the rest of the series.moreless

    • Creegan: Mmm, clove cigarettes. So natural, and yet somehow toxic.

    • Creegan: Krakauer! You ever notice the way the lights in here flicker in a cycle?
      Krakauer: No.
Creegan: It's true. There's a flicker in the bulbs that starts over there and goes all the way down the hallway. Takes about thirty seconds to complete the cycle, happens every five minutes, some kind of, uh, electrical thing, not really my specialty but hard to ignore.
      Krakauer: Yeah, for you, maybe.
Creegan: Really hard for me. I see patterns. Can't help it, really, they leap out at me, like the way the threads in your tie have the same pattern as the threads in Enright's socks. Find any of this interesting?
      Krakauer: Yeah, sure.
Creegan: No you don't. It's not interesting at all, I'm not even interested by it. It's quite boring, actually, but I can't help it, it's just the way I see the world now. You're probably wonderin' where I'm goin' with all this, right? Right. Okay, here it is: I'm seeing another pattern: me, you, and whoever shot Ronald Hinks in the head.

    • Creegan: I know, I know I'm late an- and I know I should apologize, you know, but an-and so I will, I apologize, but I don't actually feel bad so it's really just an empty gesture on my part.
