Its an adjustment for Red Sox fan Doreen to enter the rocknroll world of the Shiny Things and be faced with wildman Mark Nelson who lives and breathes the Rock life. She wonders if their disciplined ballet dancer daughter Rachel has a social life and feels its unfair to her.
On the other side of the country, Rock Chanteuse Terry ends up in Boston, taking over Doreens underappreciated role of housekeeper, while trying to understand why her older daughters stay out all night partying and spend all day sleeping instead of helping their mom around the house.
