Episode Summary

After 18 months in jail, our Trailer Park Boys, Ricky and Julian , head back home to Sunnyvale Trailer Park aiming to get their lives back together again. The problem is that neither Ricky's fiancee Lucy nor his dad Ray will let him back into their homes, and some guy named Cyrus has moved into Julian's trailer, having crowned himself the new "King of the Park".moreless

This episode is great... it has the first appearance of Cyrus who later becomes an increasing bigger thorn in the guy's side... while, after watching the rest of the series, this episode isn't as strong as many of the others... but it holds a special place in my heart because the awe I experienced during my first viewing... Ya see, I'm in the states and hadn't heard about this show until a 2 years ago... I'd watched the Pilot Movie, and while I thought it was amazing, i couldn't see how they could make a whole show out of it...

This episode changed that... it's simply brilliant to me!moreless

This is a sweet episode. It is so funny. It's the first episode.

Julian and Ricky get out of jail for the first time and Julian decides not to hang out with Ricky anymore. When Julian gets home, his trailer is a mess. Cory and Trevor say that a guy named Cyrus came in and said that it's his place now. Julian is pissed off. Meanwhile Ricky is trying to find a place to live. Lucy (his old girlfriend) won't let him stay there. His dad Ray is drunk and Ricky doesn't want to stay there. When Julian meets Cyrus, Cyrus puts his gun in Julian's face. Julian just tells him to pull the trigger. He is to much of a wimp to do it. He leaves the park and doesn't come back. Everyone in the park is happy. Ricky goes and talks to Julian about staying at his place. Julian feels sorry for him so he lets Ricky sleep in his car. There are kind of friends again.

I give this episode a 9.5 out of 10.moreless

The boys get out of prison and Julian begins the filming of his documentry. Julian has cut off all ties with Ricky in order to get his life back on track. When the boys arrive at Sunnyvale they find that Cyrus has gained contol of the park.moreless

This episode does a very good job of introducing the main characters and showcasing their traits. The actors do a surprisingly convincing job of portraying their characters, even though this is the very first episode and they are all relatively unfamiliar with their characters. But a lot of growth and progress is seen during this short 20 minute pilot.

This was a good episode as a stepping stone for the characters from the movie to the show, since any fan will notice the differences. This marks the first apperence of many main characters, but also brings up some ones that would become reoccuring, like Cyrus.
The boys return from jail only to find that the park has changed drastically. This would be the beginning of a series of mishaps that would go down in Sunnyvale, and the episode crams in as many introductions as was possible.moreless
