    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • In a flashback, Sentinel Minor is seen talking to a red Autobot that looks similiar to Bumblebee. Although not referenced by name, he appears to be Cliffjumper.

      • Corey Burton reprises his role as Shockwave from the original Transformers series.

      • Sari Sumdac, Blitzwing, Starscream and Blackarachnia do not appear in this episode. Although Lugnut also does not appear, he is heard speaking. On the flip side, Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Prowl do appear in this episode, but do not have any dialogue. This marks the first episode in which Optimus Prime has no dialogue.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • Bumblebee: I am so Elite Guard material!
Wasp: In your dreams, sub-compact! You won't even meet the height requirement.
Bumblebee: Well, you're no luxury shuttle yourself. In fact, it looks like we were both forged from the same protoform mold.
Wasp: You poor, sad bot. It's not how you were forged, but who you know.
Bumblebee: So, who should a bot know around here?
Wasp: I'll give you a hint: It's not you!

      • Sentinel Minor: Wipe that smile off your face, dull-spark!
Bulkhead: Uh, I'm not smiling, sir! My jaw is just tempered that way, sir!
Bumblebee: Forget mudflap's jaw, check out the asteroid-sized chin on Sarge.

      • Sentinel Minor: Why does a weak-jointed, slow-processing, hunk of junk like you want to be an Autobot recruit?
Bumblebee: To be an Elite Guard warrior and kick Decepticon skidplates, sir!
Sentinel Minor: You couldn't kick my motherboard if I held it in front of your foot!

      • Bumblebee: (Sighs) Monitor duty. Is there anything worse then monitor duty?
Bulkhead: Scrapin' space barnacles? Washin' out Sari's old socks? Getting a wheel alignment from Ratchet?
Bumblebee: It was a rhetorical question, alright?

      • Wasp: Bumblebot not hide from Wasp. Wasp swears he find Bumblebot. Wasp make Bumblebot pay for ruining Wasp's life.

      • Megatron: Our long stellar cycles of planning will now come to fruition. I knew your size-altering power would allow you to blend in perfectly with the Autobots. Well done, my loyal servant... Shockwave.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (4)

      • The flashbacks of the boot camp in this episode bear resemblence to the movie Full Metal Jacket, particulary the scenes where the entire group is punished for the actions of a single recruit.

      • Wasp appears to have become unhinged from his imprisonment. His voice and mannerisms (such as calling Bumblebee "Bumble-bot") are similar to Waspinator, of Beast Wars.

      • Longarm Prime / Shockwave
Longarm Prime's ability to transform into the Decepticon Shockwave is a reference to the characters Punch and Counterpunch from the Japanese series Transformers: The Headmasters, who were spies for both the Autobots and Decepticons. He briefly appeared in the first episode of the American series finale, Rebirth.

      • Autoboot Camp:
Title is a play on words of the training facility that the autobots went to. This facility is called "Autobot Camp."
