The term "Constructicon" originates to the original 1984 Transformers series. The term applied to a team of six Decepticons who transformed into construction vehicles and could combine into the monstrous Devestator. Two members of the original Constructicons were named Mixmaster and Scrapper.

Mixmaster and Scrapper's hitting on a little red car is reminiscent of Robots in Disguise Side Burn's attraction to red sports cars.
