  • "You got a problem?"

This was the best Constructicon episode yet, no, we didn't get Devestator this time either, but we got a new Constructicon. So we're getting there...I hope. The new Constructicon introduced, is Dirt Boss. After the dark, serious season premiere, it's okay to have an episode like this, that's mostly just fun. There were many good things in the episode. Dirt Boss was great, Lugnut and Ramjet returns, and we even get to see the Dinobots for a second. But where was Blitzwing? I was waiting for him to show up throughout the entire episode, but oh well. In the end I was wondering, could the Constructicons really survive THAT? I hope they return at some point, some people have criticized this episode for being pure "filler". But you know, that's fine. It was good fun. Now, next week, the return of Wasp.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Dirt Boss: (To Scrapper) Will you slag that annoying little pipsqueak already?!
Bumblebee: Who are you calling "pipsqueak," short stuff?

    • Lugnut: Impudent Autobots, what have you done with Megatron?
Bumblebee: (To Optimus Prime) This probably wouldn't be a good time to mention the whole "Transwarping randomly around the galaxy" deal, would it?

    • Bulkhead: You know, it's not too late to paint some new logos on your chests.
Mixmaster: Yeah, I guess... I mean, Megatron had good oil and all, but his management skills stink.

  • NOTES (0)

    • White Heat:
The scene where Dirt Boss climbs to the top of the oil tank is similar to that of the final scene in the 1949 gangster film White Heat.

    • Gurren Lagann:
Dirt Boss's robot mode design seems to be based on the Gember mecha from the anime series "Gurren Lagann".

    • Dirt Boss's mind control "pods" are similar in both appearance and delivery method to the cerebro-shells used by the Insecticon Bombshell from the original "Transformers" series.

    • Fossil Fuel Logo
The logo of the Fossil Fuel Oil Company appears to be a double reference. The most obvious is its resemblance to the Dinobot Sludge from the original "Transformers" series. It's also similar to the logo of the real-life company Sinclair Oil, which is that of a sauropod dinosaur.
