Who is your favorite TFP Autobot, and why?

Mine is Ratchet, simply because he's so crabby: "Bulkhead, I needed that!"

Mine would be a tie between Optimus and Ratchet.

Optimus is awesome and Ratchet is hilarious.

Honestly, I like them all quite a bit.

In a strange leap though, Optimus and Bumblebee were my favorites in the old cartoon but now I like them the least out of the good guys / autobots.

Ratchet - I like him from the character/lines alone, but Jeffrey Combs puts it over the top. He does well on all of his TV roles.

Bulkhead - A cool bot, both down-to-earth and a good fighter. He's big, strong, caring, and more realistic... as he doesn't have the whole royalty / bravado / etc thing that Optimus has going on.

Arcee - gets along well with her human partner.

The Decepticons also have some great characters, including the secondary characters (like the cars).

Ratchet's crabbiness I could do without.

Totally agreed. I will say that this show has made Arcee pretty badass and that's cool.

Bumblebee could be better if he didn't make those annoying beeping sounds. If they have to do such sounds, then use something that R2D2 does.

Yes, they've done extremely well with Arcee's character in this show. She's got a great background, and she avoids a lot of the pitfalls writers typically fall into when dealing with female protagonists.

    1) Girl usually acts like she's got something to prove. An annoying stereotype that is never used properly.

    2) Girl is a faux action girl. She's supposedly tough, but never really shows it during the action.

    3) Girl is an affirmative action girl. She was added for the sole purpose of having a female protagonist. (It's possible that Arcee might fall into this category, but she was characterized well enough to make this not quite as noticeable)

    4) Girl is a Mary Sue. 'Nuff said.

    5) Girl exists solely to provide fanservice.

    6) A combination of any of the above.

While I do agree they've done a great job overall with her character, she does borderline a bit as a Mary sue (holding her own against that Cybertron insecticon), and a slight bit on the fan service (but at least not as ridiculously obvious like with Beast Wars' Black arachnia). And I have to admit that it was fun when she and arachnid fought each other (chick bot fight!).

The 1st 2 seems to apply more to Miko, lol
