Episode Summary

EDIT
Desertion of the Dinobots (2)
AIRED:
Things get worse for the Autobots, while the Decepticons are back to full strength. With the Dinobots gone, hope certainly seems lost. On Cybertron, Spike and Carly appeal to the Dinobots for their help. Even if the two humans can succeed, though, the Decepticons intend to make sure that the Autobots never even lay eyes on Cybertronium under any circumstances. Saving the day ends up falling to Swoop and the two humans.moreless

  • When Swoop became a favorite character!

    9.5
This episode actually does require a large suspension of disbelief, afterall, there are humans on Cybertron without space suits....however over looking some plot holes, I actually really appreciated that the writer actually tried to show character development with the dinobots. I especially like when Swoop is walking with Spike & Carly. When Spike complains about the stairs and Swoop carries them is one of my favorite parts. Mostly because that was one of the best parts of this show, I mean, who doesn't want a giant robot to watch out for you? I also like that Carly is the techie girl that can fix the dinobots. I also like that they are the ones that can save the autobots forcing their Grimlock to accept which side he really wants to be on. I really enjoyed this episode.moreless
  • Spike and Carly must go to Cybertron to save Dinobots who are acting stupid!

    5.0
    OK, here's the part 2!

Maybe the previous episode was made to promote the Dinobots, but I'm 100% shore that that was the purpose of this ep. Because let's face it - the Dinobots are the only Transformers who are appearing in this ep, except for Megatron's and Optimus' 3 sec cameo.

This episode is very different from the previous one. The previous one had a lot of action and events which occured fast. But this episode is one big drag. Especialy when Spike and Carly are wandering through Cybertron. Good thing is that finnaly some other Dinobot (Swoop) had more airtime than Grimlock. And during the entire ep I was annoyed with the fact that Carly who has been on Cybertron for only 2 minutes and she immediately can control any machine and any computer (what does she studying on that college?). The Dinobots themselves are still acting very stupid. As I said, it really seemed in Dinobot Island like the Dinos had became more smart, but they returned to normal in this episode. There are very little twists and important events in this episode, and therefore I think that the "Desertion of the Dinobots" could have been made as just one episode. Much less interesting then part 1, and it could have been made in 10 minutes, not 20.moreless
