Episode Summary

EDIT
Dinobot Island (1)
AIRED:
Despite possessing great power, the well-meaning Dinobots prove to be just as dangerous as Decepticons. The latest instance shows Optimus and the other Autobots just how much this needs to change. Some serious training should clear this up, but they need a place where no one else will get caught in the middle. A new island seems to fit the bill, but the Dinobots won't be alone there. Dinosaurs are very much alive there, and, even worse, its natural resources soon garner Decepticon attention.moreless

  • Great story, action, and much needed Dinobots character development!

    8.5
Nice to see some progress with the Dinobots, especially how Grimlock is willing to improve their skills with training.

It seems like they were willing to redeem themselves and take the responsibility to become better contributors (and better characters!)

It was cool to see the many different abilities and adaptabilities of the Autobots. Like Powerglide flying and Bumblebee doing so with a jet-pack plus Tracks having his flying wing mode.

Also, Seaspray hovering on water and Cliffjumper using hydrofoils, which Wheeljack had recently fashioned back in S1's Ultimate doom.

Spike really got into too much trouble unnecessarily with those dinosaurs; not even HE could be that dumb. Alas, he proved me wrong again.

Megatron was very smart tricking the Dinobots into position then getting the dinosaur stampede to entomb them in the tar pit.

Part 1 had an interesting story, character development, and action.

And it also brought the Dinobots closer to being relatable to the human audience cause they not only tried to improve themselves, but the previously unbeatable brutes were finally defeated.moreless
