Fight or Flee
AIRED:
For some time now, peace rather than fighting has been the way of life for Sandstorm and several Autobots. This existence and their very planet, Paradron, are suddenly threatened, however, by the Decepticons. It turns out that Paradron is home to great power, which the Decepticons want to destroy their enemies. Soon enough, the more familiar Autobots head into action, but they cannot win without help from Sandstorm's team. What will they do, and what will ultimately result?moreless

  • I love this episode.

I love this episode because it focuses on one of the more obscure TF characters, Sandstorm. The animation is decent. The plot is good. Plus we get to a really cool explosion. I love the part where Ultra Magnus said the core was the most beautiful thing in the entire galaxy and I agree with him lol.
  • Good episode, showing the darker side of Cyclonus and Scourge, and introducting Sandstorm into the cartoon.

Fight or Flee is a good episode. It starts with Cyclonus and Scourge chasing the Aerialbot Skydive through space, which ends up being a trap. The two Decepticons fly through a warphole where the end up injured on the planet Paradron, a planet which according to Cyclonus, looks like Cybertron during the fabled "Golden Age." The two wind up assaulting the pacifist Autobot Paradronians, and take over the planet with the help of Galvatron and the other Decepticons. This leads Sandstorm to take off and seek help from the Autobots on Cybertron.

The two factions as usual go to war, which leads in Magnus needing to detonate the planet's energon core to stop the Decepticons from getting more powerful and destroying the universe. Sandstorm and his friends go on to join the Autobots on Cybertron, and Sandstorm teaches his people that it's alright to fight for what you believe in.

All in all, aside from the cliched Autobot Vs Decepticon battle theme, it's a good episode, which shows what happened to some of the other races of Transformers who left during the great wars on Cybertron. Sandstorm is a good character, and has more testicular fortitude than his people, and takes up arms and fights when he was to. Sandstorm only speaks in this episode, and in Starscream's Ghost, but he's still an awesome character.moreless
