  • Accident can happen in any forms and this show makes us realize that sometimes we took things for granted in life. It can happen to anyone and being able to see how the paramedic respond to a call is to me educationnal.moreless

Well to me this series is pretty good though sometimes some accident can be avoid, but that is why we call it accident. Halloween is a night where all kinds of party accured and also a time of the year that some people are more careless. In this episode we see all kinds of stuff going on, the guy going crazy because he received a bill from the paramedic. He destroy the paramedic truck to me which was push a little to far, though it is part of the scenario. When the little boy got tired of his parents always arguing, though in that case the woman didn't want to accept the fact that the man wanted to solved there problem without having to go to court. It took an injury to make them understand that this was affecting him, though I am not sure it would solved anything. But at least it will make them think about it and the nurse disguise in thinker bell was the little boy hopes like sometimes it is good to have some believe.

  • It's Halloween and the crazies all come out to play. Everyone in the paramedic company is trying to call in sick or trade off the shift, but no one can get away. As is repeated time and again this is one of the worse nights period to be a paramedic.moreless

A slight rebound from last week. I was getting a little tired of the sameness of the show from week to week. I'm not sure if it was the Halloween theme or the fact that we learned even more about many of the ancillary characters this week, but I enjoyed this episode more than last weeks.

Yes we know San Fransisco has a large gay population. Actually every major city in the US does, but for some reason we had to dwell on that this evening. That really didn't change the fact that people of all kinds have traumatic accidents and injuries and need to be treated by paramedics and trauma units. We get to see one of the supposedly biggest bashes of the year and a fireworks snafu causes many cases of severe bodily injury. We learn a lot about Cameron and Tyler and the fact that they have worked together for three years and you still wonder how well they know each other.

We learn a lot about many of the paramedics and the interns at the hospital as well. We learn Dr. Saviano has a little bit of a mean streak about certain things but is really a softy when it comes right down to it. I don't think he likes Halloween any more than most of the paramedics do.

Lots of Rabbit/Marisa scenes and Nancy with Glen and without Glen. We see the public abuse these people sometimes take and we see the adoration that they receive and deserve for what they do every day.

As I stated at the beginning, I do think this was a better episode and an improvement on the show in general. Unfortunately this show is on a short leash as it was announced this week that three more episodes will be shown and if the ratings don't improve drastically it's probably adios. That's a tall order. We'll see what happens. Thanks for reading...moreless
  • The night of Halloween

    8.3
Oh.. this is the week when every tv show goes the Halloween theme and as I am not very big fan of this.. so.. but I think they really managed to come up with quite good episode. It had a many storylines but somehow it felt none of them got enough focus.

I loved the whole storyline with Nancy and the way in the end, the scene in cemetary.. That was very beautiful scene.

Also that Diana storyline. She has been maybe the most remembered recruiting character and this episode really opened up a something new about her: the stand against Rabbit and then the all fairy thing.

And ofcourse Rabbit. I liked him and Marissa in ground and riding that rig. A different perspective for them and somehow different dynamic.moreless
  • I'm watching this show for the wrong reason!

    6.5
I'm a native San Franciscan so it's nice to see real San Francisco locations in a TV show rather than generic shots of the City and then studio scenes (or even Canada!). The characters and the acting is a different story! Right now "House" is the medical-type show that everybody wants to emulate. And this show doesn't have the wit. I personally don't like "Gray's Anatomy", but this show doesn't have the over the top melodrama that attracts "Gray's" viewers. So this show ends up being average; I call it "mind candy". I end up watching this show because there is nothing else better on TV. It was strange to see Cameron the black paramedic have a thing against gays though. Nancy's reasons for not becoming a doctor is still not explained. Very Annoying. I like how Rabbit is at least functioning at work. There will be no party in the Castro this year (see a real news site for the full story), but if I remember correctly, there was some kind of violence involved in previous parties and it would be neat to see "ripped from the headlines" situations more often. One of episode three's cases was based on a real incident. So thanks for listening and try not to shoot anyone this Saturday!moreless
