US Customs agents try to stop a vicious ex-con from cashing in on a heroin smuggling operation.
"Your treasury men in action" is rather sedate here, there is not a lot that doesn't follow formula and there are no real twists to the plotting. The conversation between the field officers and the chief in Washington are especially stiff and serve mainly as explanatory devices. The indoor sets certainly have more lush vegetation than is normal for the Arizona/Mexico border - despite on-screen references to "tumbleweeds".
On the plus side, Charles Bronson is pretty good as Vince, alternating between quiet and sinister as he terrorizes his wife, threatens a doctor, and makes deals with the bar owner who plans to fence the six pound heroin brick. But, because he has killed a T-man, his fate is sealed and he meets his fate shooting all the way.
In general, this is only a mildly entertaining episode, just one or two small elements that come as more of a surprise would help the excitement level a lot.moreless
