  • Trigun at its worst.

“And Between the Wasteland and the Sky...” is the welcome conclusion to this crappy two parter, that started in the episode “B.D.N”. Basically, Vash must save the people on the sand cruiser before they plummet to their death. Vash runs around the ship under the guidance of the kid he found last episode. He gets wounded half way through and continues to limp around the episode and beat B.D.N in a showdown. The only good part of these two episodes has been the flash back of a mystery woman from Vash’s past, other than that I found these episodes painful to watch and a waste of time. Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Kuroneko Sighting
When Vash and Kaite are sitting on top of the sand steamer, Kuroneko sits to the right of Vash.

    • Vash gives Kaite a wireless communicator so they can coordinate the rescue, but at some parts of the episode, Kaite uses the ship's public speaking-tube system.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • B.D.N.: (through the public speaking tube) Hey scumbags! If any of you drag your heels 'til time-out, I'll kill you! Bring me the blonde, or else!
Vash: A one, and...(yelling through another speaking tube) I'm at the starboard passenger cabins! It's him! It's the blonde!!
B.D.N.: Good, hold him there. I'll send help.
Vash: It's no good! He hid himself with incredible speed!! AAARGH!

    • Vash: (hammering down on Kaite's head with his arm every syllable) What-are-you-get-ting-all-sen-ti-men-tal-on me for, you lit-tle squirt?!

    • Vash: Death and poverty like me so much, they brought FRIENDS! And then there's the insurance girls! It never ends!

  • NOTES (3)

    • Manga Corollary: Trigun Volume 1, Chapters 6-9.
Most of the story is straight out of the manga, except the part in Chapter 9 where Vash interacts with the Plant.

The episode title is the same as the manga title for Chapter 9.
