“Paradise” is a very revealing episode of Trigun. Still quarrelling over the death of the child, from last episode, Vash and Wolfwood nearly face off. Later on we find out that Wolfwood is working for Knives and is the newest Gung Ho Gun! Wolfwood decides to stick by Vashes side and shows off with a figure from his past. He tries to deal with a shoot out like Vash, and tries not to kill some one, but in the end this leads to his own death. While this is going on Vash is taking on other Gung Ho Guns. A brilliant episode, with the sad departure of a great character. 10 out of 10

Oh my goodness can you belive that Wolfwood dies but that gun battle was amazing! Ya he died while facing his montor because he would not kill Vash the Stampede. He killed his mentor but he was badly injured. He walked to the church nearby and God to save his life and he finally understood why Vash never killed. He promised God that if he let him live he would never kill again and he would start that childrens orphange he always wanted to start. But he ended up dying shortly beefore Vash found him. • (Wolfwood is unable to grab the apple from Chapel's hands. Chapel grabs Wolfwood's collar.)
Chapel: You still need some work. It's not healthy to hesitate, because every time you do, you wear down a little more of your life.

    • Chapel: Apparently, you've lost some weight. Why, Nicholas?
Wolfwood: I've been traveling with a real troublemaker.

    • Wolfwood: (narrating) I picked up my first gun at the age of seven. And I shot. I remember how strangely easy it was to pull the trigger. I actually laughed, because that one shot was all it took to finally silence that sickening piece of garbage who had the nerve to call himself my guardian.

    • Wolfwood: (lights cigarette) That tastes good.
Milly: (in flashback scene) You know cigarettes are bad for the baby, darling.
      Wolfwood: I'm sorry, honey.
      (drops cigarette from mouth)

    • Wolfwood: May you go in God's protection. Oh yeah! Thanks for the apple.

    • Wolfwood: I did not want to die this way!

    • Wolfwood: I'm not ready yet! There's still so much left to be done! I wanna stay, with them! I don't wanna die!

    • Meryl: (entering room) Mr. Wolfwood? I heard gunfire. (gasp) Milly, what are you doing here?
Milly: (on the bed holding her head) I'm staying here, Meryl. He told me to stay here. He made me promise. So I'm not moving until he comes back!

    • Wolfwood: By the way, I only know you as The Stampede. I think you can at least tell me your real name.
Vash: No way! I'm not gonna tell you just so you can go out and get killed today!
Wolfwood: Now don't be stupid! Tell me!
Vash: Between you and me (momentous pause) my name is irrelevant.

    • Wolfwood: Alright, so how do you plan to get out of this predicament? Huh?
      Vash: I don't know.
Wolfwood: Then answer me one thing. You're obviously going after Knives. What do you intend to do once you find him?
Vash: Many years ago, he stole someone who was very important to me.
      Wolfwood: So you want revenge?
      Vash: I don't know. I really don't know.
      (stares continue)
Wolfwood: I see. So that's how you live. That's how you choose to live. (lowers Punisher) You know what? You're an expert at pissing me off. Amazing.
