Episode Summary

In May City, Vash quickly becomes friends with the local kids, letting them wrestle around with him, except for one kid, Neil, who seems rather sullen. Vash tries to help Neil and ends up seeing Wolfwood at the restaurant where Neil's mom works. Wolfwood recruits Vash to participate in the town's quick draw contest to raise money for Neil's family. But as the contest unfolds, Vash learns that it's not just shooting a line of bottles, but he has to duel. On top of that, Wolfwood gets entered into the contest and gets persuaded by the mayor to try to kill Vash for the reward money in order to save Neil's mom who is held hostage.moreless

Milly: (cheerfully) You haven't got a single clue, have you?
Vash: And you always say the strangest things.
Milly: Funny, the chief says the same thing.
Vash: It'll be okay, okay? It'll be okay.
