The insurance girls have been on the Vash assignment for four months. They met Vash three months in. Meryl does the preview for the episode, setting the date as July 20th, two days after the Monev incident.
Kuroneko Sighting After Meryl throws down a wad of paper in frustration, it bounces off the desk and behind her. Milly catches it in a trashcan only for Kuroneko to pop out from it. Kuroneko meows from the rooftop with three moons out.
Monev: Hey, it's dangerous to be too trusting. What if I decided to get up and shoot you in the back? Vash: I'm not that trusting. I kept my finger on the trigger the whole time.
Meryl: So, those scars are the price you pay for dealing with your opponents without killing them. Vash: Its not something I want girls to see I think many of them would run away
Vash: Young lady! Travelling alone in the desert can be very perilous! If you act now, you can hire your own bodyguard, free of charge, what do you say?
