As Christmas nears, Jerry is out having lunch with his girlfriend, Amber, and Liam when his wife, Betty, surprises him. Jerry tries to save face by telling her that Amber is Liam's fiance. Bobby gets intoa brawl with a mall santa (who's also a suspect) in front of a lot of children. Clarissa helps deliver a very ill crack baby whose mother doesn't want them to try to save it. Liam meets Siobhan, and takes a liking to her. Eileen gets accepted into her college of choice, but doesn't know how she'll ever afford it. Father Peter surprises Kevin with a Christmas present -- midnight mass this year. Clarissa is equally surprised to find out that the baby's still alive, even though its mother took off. With her gone, Clarissa breaks hospital rules, and gives the baby treatment anyway. Fiona invites Josh to midnight mass with her family. Bobby kicking Santa's ass makes front page news and gets him in hot water with the lieutenant, who asks that he take time off. Liam tries to help find a new job for one of Jerry's retarded and incompetent workers, Big Ric. While trying to ask her out, Liam tells Siobhan about the situation with him, Jerry and Betty. Siobhan fears being deported. Bobby snoops around police files, and learns that Simon was to testify in a murder trial. When he confronts his father about what happened, Bobby is infuriated to hear that Simon witnessed a murder, but refused to testify. In doing so, he let the murderer walk for fear of what he was told would happen to his family if he didn't. Clarissa calls Kevin to the hospital to baptize the baby. With no Christmas tree in sight, Fiona and Amanda wonder if Eileen even plans to celebrate this year. Simon and Eileen are upset that Amanda doesn't want to go see Kevin do his first mass. A doctor covers for Clarissa when he writes the case up, but warns her she could lose her license. Bobby makes up with Simon, while Josh stands up Fiona. Kevin performs mass, as Clarissa says a prayer for the baby. Bobby gives Clarissa a horse for Christmas. Amanda and Siobhan surprise everyone with a house full of holiday decorations when they return home. The McCallisters exchange gifts, and Eileen receives tuition and books.
