When the crew and ship plunge into a black hole, Chode is forced to sign a deal with the Devil to escape (and get a 40' plasma screen TV in the process), but eventually figures out being condemned to an eternity in Hell might be a bad thing. Attempts to escape prove futile and a possessed T'nuk goes on a radical weight loss plan through induced vomiting and tries to get an infomercial contract.
Eventually Six figures out that Daniel Webster won a case against the Devil and has Whip adjust the transporter to teleport them back to 1893. He inevitably screws that up and they end up with Emmanuel Lewis, aka "Webster" from the TV show of the same name. Emmanuel decides to take on the case anyway and tricks the Devil into confessing the black hole was an illusion he used to trick Chode into signing the deal. The jury (Genghis Khan, Richard Nixon, Hitler, Joan Crawford, a Dark Clown, and a skeleton) nullify the contract and free a mildly grateful Chode.
