The whole scene when the girl acuses the father of sending the letter, is just silly. Why would she acuse her father because of something that a unknown girl said to her, and don\'t believeng in her father. This show really sucks, which is bad, since Eliza Dusku and A.J. Cook are such godd actresses.
  • awww.

this episode is so sad. tru finially loses someone and it really hurts her. though, the events of the man does lead her to start to forgive her father. the man who was in the army and now dieing wanted to see his ex girlfriend. they were in love but her father ruined it. they had a son together and he just wanted to see his love one more time. the idea of the story was just soo sad. when he dies it kinda lets you down, since they were going to maybe get back together and live with their son. just such a great, sad episode.
  • A fantastic episode - one of the best in the whole series.

This is one of my favourite episodes because of the fact that Tru wasn't meant to save the man's life. She was meant to reunite him with the love of his life. In some ways she did save him - she saved him from dying with the thought that nobody loved him and that his life didn't really mean anything. He gets to see his soul mate again, who he's been seperated from for nearly two years and he meets the son that he never knew he had. This gives his life meaning and it means that he can die happy. Tru didn't physically save his life but she did emotionally. I also think Sarah Mclachlan's "Angel" was an excellent choice for this episode. It was the icing on the cake.
  • Tru's latest call for help is from an army soldier recovering from the war who is shot dead in the hospital.

Tru finds out that saving the life of Jake, a returning soldier, is only part of her mission to help him.

Shot dead in the army hospital Tru has little difficulty in stopping that from happening on the second version of the day. But her job is far from over when she is told that although he may be alive it won't be for long if he does not return to the hospital for necessary surgery.

Tracking Jake down through a news clipping she had seen in his property, Tru discovers that Jake is trying to find the girl in the picture, the girl he loves but who had sent him a telegram asking him not to contact her again whilst he was overseas.

With his health failing, and knowing he may not survive the day, Tru sees him returned to the hospital and promises to track down Bridget for him.

She finds her with the son that Jake does not even know about and tries to persuade her to visit Jake in the hospital. She at first refuses but after Tru has left she confronts her father about the telegram she had supposedly sent.

Arriving just in time to see Jake before he goes into surgery Tru and Bridget can only wait to see if he pulls through.

A tearjerker of an episode that proves once again that Tru cannot save everyone and that her job is not just about saving lives but also about putting things right.

Something that Tru is finding more difficult both with the saving lives aspect and the family issues of her siblings. In this episode Tru's father has been in touch and spurred both Meredith and Harrison to look at their lives. Meredith's reaction is to go on a lunch date with Davis, Harrison's is to try to find a proper job. But even with Tru's help on the second day neither can be entirely helped and some things are just not meant to be.
