Yeah if FOX would have at least put out promos then maybe there would have been more of an audience. I didn't even know that Tru Calling (2nd season) was playing until I was flipping channels one day and there it was...FOX sucks.

I wish another network would have picked it up, wouldn't Tru Calling be in its 4th season right now?

Jason Priestley.  He should've never been on the show.

I thought he was alright, he was pretty convincing. I personally blame the network.

Highly doubt it, the cast and crew have pretty much moved on and I wouldn't watch a Tru Calling movie witout Eliza.

Probably not. Maybe a spinoff. But the creator of Tru Calling hasn't had such great luck(created two axed FOX series REUNION). There probably wouldn't be a movie. But yeah since the people part of the series moved on there is likely to be nothing 4 Tru Calling

Well we can always hope, if Firefly did it and only made 15 episodes, the Tru Calling can do it which made 26 episodes!

Well guys, FOX only gave "Tru Calling" a complete first season was to prove to fans that they are willing to give a chance to a show that has potential. They renewed the show because the ratings were - while quite low (never above five million) - fairly steady, and again to prove they were willing to give the show a chance.

But it was scheduled behind "The O.C.", and then when they ordered additional scripts of "Point Pleasant", which had not been picked up to series during May upfronts, they saw that that show was more of a fitting companion to "The O.C.", which, while it failed, it's quite easy to see why came to that reasonable conclusion.

"Tru Calling" has always had a loyal fanbase, even if it wasn't very large. I'm sure if FOX had realized what ratings would be like even after a year off the air (season two returned to slightly better ratings than season one, despite common knowledge the show was canned and with limited promotion), they would have kept the show on the air, for a whole second season at the very least.

The other major networks haven't been much friendlier to genre programming, it's not necessarily their fault, it's just that the majority of viewers don't watch them. "Lost" and "Heroes" are the first true genre hits since "The X-Files", and that was back in 1993. Also, FOX gets so much blame because they have aired more genre shows, which get rejected by the audience. If CBS rolled out as many, they would get canned too and people would start calling CBS evil.

Your right but they should have told the creator to wrap up the series in the season 2 episodes so the show wasn't left so open.

Well, I have the two great seasons, and I will continue watching them. The series is amazing. Its sad that FOX got rid of a series that was great.

I thought it was wrong how FOX got the cast's and crew's hopes up when they ordered 13 eps, then they backed down to 6 and didn't even air those eps until months later. I didn't even know it was airing until I was flipping the channels.

Does anyone remember the short-lived Wonder Falls, it premiered around the same time Tru Calling did, like in the same season and that was one funny-ass show, FOX only aired like maybe 5 eps tops. They kept moving the show around, so not many people have heard of it.
