Harrison and Melissa are in a poker game. In the scene where her flush beats his pair of fives, they each have the eight of spades in their hand.
Geoffrey: (On the phone) You committed to 6000 pounds of bison meat, this place isn't even refrigerated. Ok, dammit, you can't get mad cow from freaking buffalo! Thats why they call it cow!
Davis: We were married. For a year.
Harrison: You're married?
Davis: And, er…I was supposed to meet Haley at her mother's. We were going to a restaurant for our anniversary dinner. And I'd been working late here, and I was going out to my car and the gas had all been drained from the tank, and the tyres were flat. There was this crazy woman there, telling me that I had to call my wife, and prevent her from getting in her car, and getting on the freeway
Harrison: Crazy woman? What?
Tru: Our mother.
Harrison: I can't believe I voluntarily lost all that money.
Tru: Welcome to my world. And now, I gotta go to work. What about you?
Tru: I need to borrow your car .
Harrison: That is so weird. I was just coming to…
Tru: No, you weren't gonna come and get me. And if I were you, I'd stay away from the trifecta too .
Harrison: That is so not fair! You know what I did and I don't.
Tru: Look, you let me down, Harrison. Again. Nothing you haven't done 1000 times before. And you know what? Lindsay says the same exact thing about you too.
Harrison: Well excuse me, I made a mistake. I'm not lucky like you: you screw up, and it's "Oh what am I gonna do? You know what, I'll just redo it!"
Jack: Wow, Davis is a dedicated employee isn't he?
Tru: He really takes his work home with him.
Jack: I'm trying to imagine a First Date scenario…"Why don't you come back to my apartment, I'll show you all my books on death"
Tru: Kind of a mood killer.
Jack: Unless you're dating a serial killer.
Harrison: I know, I know, and I'm sorry, okay? I forgot to pick you up, something unexpected came up.
Tru: A girl, or a bet?
Harrison: Well, that ain't fair, it was an emergency! Of a kind.
Davis: I've got this thing tomorrow at my apartment, and I haven't unpacked.
Tru: When did you move in?
(Davis looks as through he counting back)
Davis: Three years ago.
Jack: How do you get so banged up on this job, it's not like the dead fight back.
Tru: Yeah, you'd be surprised.
Geoffrey (on the phone): Okay you can't get mad cow from buffalo, that's why they call it cow!
Tru: Whatever her plans are for the day you've got to change them. You can do it. Just be yourself.
Harrison: I was myself.
Tru: You hit on her?
Harrison: No...well not in so many...yeah.
Tru: Well then be your other self.
Tru: It's not a do-over. The body asked for help and nothing happened.
Harrison: What? Were you fired?

In this episode we learn that Davis goes by his middle name.
We discover that Davis was previously married for one year. On their anniversary, a "crazy woman" flattened his tires and emptied his tank, and told Davis his wife would die. He didn't listen and his wife did die. This is how Davis came to know Tru's mother. She was the crazy woman who tried to stop him because Davis died with his wife on the first day, and it was a rewind day for her to stop it.
A.J. Cook does not appear in this episode.
The scene where Harrison confronts Melissa and persuades her not to commit suicide is shot on the roof of the Koerner Library in Vancouver's University of British Columbia.
