In this episode it is revealed that when killed, vampires do not turn to dust but rather they sort of explode into a gory mess.
(Eric hands Bill a Tru Blood from the microwave)
Eric: How do you stomach that stuff? Don't you find it metallic and vile?
Bill: I don't think about it. It's sustenance, that's all.
(Eric smiles and chuckles)
Eric: Well, if you're their poster boy, the mainstreaming movement is in very deep trouble. Tru Blood. It keeps you alive, but it will bore you to death.
Pam: (handing Sookie a leather outfit) Put these on.
Sookie: Oh. Thank you, but I'm fine really. I'm just gonna dry out my hair and be on my way.
Pam: You're not going anywhere. Eric and your boyfriend aren't nearly done talking just yet.
Sookie: Is Bill in some kind of trouble?
Pam: That's for the boys to figure out. Right now, what you need to do is change out of your clothes. There's vampire in your clevage.
Sookie: (looks down and gasps) Okay. Eeww.
Pam: Allow me. (takes the bloody piece out)
Sookie: Thank you.
Pam: I'm beginnin' to understand the fuss everyone's makin' over you.
Jason Stackhouse: (about Eddie) All I'm sayin' is Lafayette didn't have to kidnap him and I'm pretty sure he left with some V.
Amy Burley: Hey! If you wanna make the same arrangement with Eddie as Lafayette, than have at it. This was the only thing I could think of to get you out of blowin' your first vampire.
Jason Stackhouse: You've done this before, haven't you?
Amy Burley: Done what?
Jason Stackhouse: This! Kidnappin' vampires!
Amy Burley: Jason, baby. You're sweet but you've gotta mellow out.
Tara: What do you want?
Lettie Mae: Sam Merlotte's here to see you. You ain't sleepin' wit' him are you?
Tara: Now what makes you jump to that conclusion?
Lettie Mae: Cause he brung flowers with him. And men only bring flowers if they already slept with you and lookin' to again. That especially goes for white men as black men are less prone to grovel.
Jason: Jesus! I shoulda known something wasn't right the second you walked into my life carrying that big bag of crazy cause any woman with a purse that big is bound to have something in it I don't wanna know about.
Chow: What's your game?
Bill: Excuse me?
Chow: You were playing Wii. What's your game?
Chow: What's your best score on Pebble Beach?
Bill: Seven under.
Chow: Mine's eleven under.
Bill: I liked Longshadow better.
