  • Both episodes were a great start to the series! FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY :)

    10
Purr-fect Partners:This episode was fantastic for a first episode. This is about Dudley Puppy gets a job working as a secret agent and fights Snaptrap that has an item that hypnotizes rats to terrorize Petropolis. All the main characters were shown in the episode, and there was humor and action in it like Penguins of Madagascar. My favourite part of this episode was when Dudley was being trained to fight. This episode was awesome like the others. 10/10

Doom-mates:I slightly liked Purr-fect Partners better then this one, but I'm not going to focus on that. This episode is about the Chameleon kidnaps Kitty and Dudley has to save her. This episode felt like it wasn't really a first episode as if they were used to making it, and that's a good thing. Plus, the running gags are really funny, "Is he talking to us? I can't tell, one eye's looking at the ground, and the other's just freaking me out!" That was my favourite part. 9.5/10

  • Both of the pilot episodes were great

    8.5
Purr-fect Partners: I thought that this was a great pilot of "T.U.F.F. Puppy". The pilot is about when Dudley Puppy joins T.U.F.F. but he joined when he didn't know know when he was face to face with Snaptrap and the other villains. I thought it was funny when Dudley was crazy over his chew toy that his mom bought him. It was funny that Dudley didn't know he was face to face with Snaptrap and the other villains. I thought the Agent Nuts joke was hilarious. It was funny that Dudley and Kitty were fighting just like how cats and dogs would fight. It was funny when Dudley and Kitty have cheese on their heads and then Dudley says "I smell cheese, there is definitely cheese nearby". The ending was also funny when Dudley pushed that button on the car and then falls on Kitty. Overall, this pilot could have been a little better but it was overall great. 8.5/10

Doom-mates: Just like "Purr-fect Partners", this was also a great episode of "T.U.F.F. Puppy". I loved the introduction of the Chameleon. I thought it was hilarious when Dudley used the laser boomerang and it destroys T.U.F.F. headquarters. I thought it was funny when Dudley pronounced the Chameleon's name wrong. It was so funny when Dudley is destroying everything in Kitty's house because he thinks that the Chameleon could be one of them. It was funny when Dudley thought that Kitty was on a pogo stick when it is actually the Chameleon kidnapping her. It was funny when Dudley and Kitty would keep using the bomb to hurt the Chameleon. Overall, this episode kind of dragged but it was a great episode for the most part. 8.5/10moreless
  • Great start of T.U.F.F. Puppy

    8.5
Purr-fect Partners: This was a great introduction of T.U.F.F. It been exactly a year since it premiered so I wanted to review the first episode of T.U.F.F Puppy. It is about Dudley Puppy joining T.U.F.F. and he paired up with Kitty Katswell. I gave it an 8.5 because some parts were dragged/boring. The parts that I liked were Dudley chewing his butt in public (which is super hilarious to me), Dudley not knowing how to face thevillains, Dudley saying High five and then Kitty hits him, and Dudley smells cheese. Overall, even though it was boring in some scenes, it was a great first episode. 8.5/10

Doom-mates: When Kitty's life is in danger, it's up to Dudley to save her from the villainous Chameleon, but Kitty is still in danger from Dudley's kind of "protection." It was great like the first one. It introduces The Chameleon. The parts that liked were people missaying the Chameleon's name, Dudley using laser that destroyed the headquarters of T.U.F.F., the Chameleon being Dudley, the Chameleon kept blowing on Kitty. Overall, the episode was perfect but it was boring in some scenes just like the first episode. 8.5/10moreless
  • A great start to T.U.F.F Puppy!

    8.5
Purr-fect Partners: This episode was the better of the two. It was an overall nice introduction to all of the main characters, although I thought it could have had a little more humor at parts. There were a couple parts I laughed at, like Dudley not realizing he had been face to face with villains and later bleating like a goat and the joke about Agent Nuts. Also, for some reason, the music that played right before Dudley hit that button in the car really cracked me up! My final grade for this episode is a B+. Doom-Mates was weaker than its partner, but it was also good. I liked the introduction of the Chameleon and all the jokes about his eyes. I also thought it was funny when Dudley attacked the coat rack thinking it was the Chameleon and the running gag of Kitty falling over because she had no whiskers. The only things that kind of ruined the episode for me were the running gag of Dudley falsely accusing someone of being the Chameleon and Dudley destroying all of Kitty's things. Final grade: B. Overall, this was a great pilot episode for T.U.F.F Puppy, and this show definitely has potential to be one of the best Nickelodeon has ever aired! Marebear2009, out!

  • Dudley is iniciated on T.U.F.F. and paired with Kitty Katswell; The Chameloeon escaped and wants to take revenge on Kitty, and the Cheif assign Dudley to protect her.

    9.0
Purr-Fect Partners: After Snaptrap steals the Kruger Rat, Kittty Katswell goes after it, but Dudley Puppy who hwas chasing his chew toy stomps her and gets into the DOOM hideout and beats 3 villains, getting his chew toy, but Snaptrap escpaes on a capsule. Kiity arrives with reinforcements and she says he ruined the misson and arrest him. At T.U.F.F. Keswick says Dudley is a combination of every dog breed, and the Cheif hires him, thinking that with him they'll be ahead of Snaptrap, and put him under Kitty's training. They go to the bay, where the capsule landed, and check the warehouses until they find Snaptrap. HE ties them up and out cheese on their heads, so when he activates the Kruger Rats and the rats obey him, they'll eat them. Dudley uses his bloodhound nose to help Kitty kick the rats and then backflips and frees them, the 2 fight the rats ,and Dudley simply presses a button making Snaptrap fall from the catwalk to a cage. Kitty then says Dudley might work out.

Doom-Mates: Not listengin to Kitty, Dudley uses the laser boomeranf and destroys T.U.F.F. A message is thrown for Kitty, saying that he escaped and is coming after him, signed: The Chameleon. The Cheif asks Dudley to protect her, so he takes her back to her place, and starts to break everything thinking its the Chameleon in disguise, so Kitty kicks him out. HE returns asking for another chance and Kitty lets him in, but turns out its not Dudley, but THe Chameleon! He takes Kitty back to his lair, and Dudley follows them. THe Chameleon traps Kitty on a cage with a bomb that will explode 9 times - one for each of her 9 lives. After 8 bombings, Dudley appears and saves Kitty, locking the Chameleon in the cgae, and accidentally bombing once, turning the Chameleon into goo.

Bottom Line: Great premiere. Looking forward to the rest of the series. 9/10moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • It is revealed that Dudley is a greyhound-bloodhound-German shepherd-Chinese fighting dog-French poodle-mix who is also part billy goat.

    • At the end of the episode, Kitty was seen running with Dudley, but Kitty had no whiskers meaning she did not have any balance. So, how could she run at the end?

    • Considering that the Chameleon survived both bomb blasts (apart from being turned into goo) it seems likely that he lowered the strength of each individual blast a little too much, meaning that that last blast wouldn't have killed Kitty. Either that or Chameleons have extra lives too, but that doesn't seem too likely.

    • Running gags in this episode: 1. Dudley keeps saying that he wants a cape. 2. The various dog breed genetics Dudley has inherited keeps getting mentioned. 3. Kitty keeps losing her balance. 4. Dudley keeps mistaking ordinary objects for, The Chameleon as he says his name and then shoots it with a laser. 5. Everybody keeps freaking out about how The Chameleon always looks in two different directions with his buggy eyes. 6. Dudley keeps saying that he should have read the manual for various tools that he tries to use.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Kitty: Stop using me to hit people, Dudley! Or should I call you, the idiot!

    • Kitty: (after Chief is assigning Dudley to be partnered with her) Are you nuts?!
Chief: No, Agent Nutz is over there.

    • Kitty: We're secret agents, butt-munch, not superheroes. I speak 120 dialects fluently, mastered all forms of martial arts, and my claws are registered as lethal weapons.
Dudley: Maybe you should register YOUR BREATH!

    • Snaptrap: Well, if it isn't special T.U.F.F. agent Kitty Katswell. Ready to lose one of your nine lives?
Kitty: I'd rather use my ten claws!

    • Kitty: (about Dudley) That's the moron who impeded my investigation, Chief.

    • Chief: What's goin' on here?!
Dudley: Oh uh, long story. My chew toy rolled in here, and I got it back, and uh... guess it's just not that long of a story.

    • Kitty: You idiot! I almost had them. And now you're under arrest for obstructing an investigation of the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force!
Dudley: And you spit when you talk...

    • Dudley: Come on, mom, let's do it! Do it, do it, do it! Doooo iiit!!
Dudley's Mom: No, Dudley. Not until you tell me what good doggies always do.
Dudley: Always tell the truth, never take stuff that doesn't belong to you, and don't chew your butt in public! (starts chewing his butt)
Dudley's Mom: Two out of three, not bad.

  • NOTES (3)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • In "Purr-fect Partners": After the spell is taken off of the rats, one of them says "I feel so funky" like Peter Venkman said after getting slimed in the movie Ghostbusters.
