Show Summary

TV Tales is documentary series that goes inside the development and production of some of America's classic TV shows. E! Entertainment Television producer Mark Harris uses the voice of actor, Jason Willinger, to narrate the drama behind the scenes of well-known, long-running TV shows. The series opens with a two-hour segment on Saturday Night Live, with interviews from the show's creator, Lorene Michaels, and many other comedians, who used the live TV show to launch their carriers. Alan Alda and the old M.A.S.H. crew show up in the second installment, giving audiences some surprise insights of the off-set romances that occurred during the show's eleven-year run. The Love Boat, Murphy Brown and Friends also appear in the series, and audiences learn some shocking revelations from actress Betty White during TV Tales' Golden Girls segment. The documentary series investigates TV shows from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and it ends with some tragic stories from cast members of the TV show, The Jeffersons.
