  • Set against the classic Christmas poem by Clement Moore, the town of Junctionville finds itself removed from Santa's Christmas list. Town clock maker Joshua Trundle tries to make Santa happy again with a special clock.moreless

I find it very interesting that this terrific Christmas special is available on DVD but only as a secondary program included with the vastly inferior special "Frosty's Winter Wonderland." In the end I suppose that it is good the program is available because it is very well done and is great entertainment. The best moment in the special in my opinion is when Father Mouse's son Albert comes to realize the consequences of making his personal opinions of Santa Claus. You might just find yourself getting a little emotional. Veteran actor and singer Joel Grey is terrific as Joshua Trundle.moreless
  • A wonderful Christmas story tied into the classic poem.

This classic Christmas special is timeless. Using the poem as a basis, a warm, loving story unfolds.

Belief in Santa is seen from two points of view. The Santa opposition, Albert (Longwords) Mouse and his friends call Santa a fraudulent myth. This angers Santa and he refuses all letters from children of the town.

The majority of the town loves Santa and work to fix the problem.

The antimation is done in classic cartoon style. Today's so called cartoons can't hold a candle to it.

Making amends for wrongs done is a big focus of this Christmas classic. Albert confesses that he accidently broke Mr. Trundle's clock, and that perhaps he is also wrong about Santa. He fixes the clock just in time to save the day.

This Christmas cartoon special will never become old hat.moreless

I have to say that this is definetly a classic however as much as it is. I can't find it in stores... I tried in Suncoast and in music stores all with no good results. This has to be one of my favorite Christmas classics ever. Last night my husband set a timer to record it and wouldn't know it the power went out and I am just at odds at this point. I have to say that this isn't played that often... DARN! I have to find this and soon I have my other favorite Christmas classics, White Christmas and Rudoph but not this... DARN!moreless

I love this show. Enough kudos can never be given to this wonderful animated masterpiece. I remember it from childhood and watch it every year during the holidays. From the songs to the poem, the storyline to the mixture of animal and human this is creative genius at its finest. My own kids have wondered how I memorized the poem and it is due to this holiday classic. I wish more shows can be created with this staying power. Now if only I can find it on DVD it would make the holidays complete. This is a show that has stood the test of time!moreless
