  • A lot more interesting than a history lesson.

I'll admit it. When I had to take history in high-school, I was bored to tears, especially with the stuff from WWI, WWII and the Korean War. I think I learned more from watching MASH than I did from class. But watching this show made these historical moments come alive for me. Not that I advocate war in any way, but seeing and hearing what the soldiers went through, the decisions the commanders and leaders had to make, knowing what the consequences of failure would be --- it really opened my eyes. I'm kind of embarrassed at the attitude I had when this was being taught in school.moreless
