      • Flash is sent back to earth in 1973. The exact time line can be pinned down by President Nixon's famous "I am not a crook" speech, which was on TV at the Jericho household. That speech was given on November 17, 1973. Edit

      • Al Waxman does not appear in this episode. His place is taken by Judge Deborah, played by Polly Bergen. This is the second consecutive episode in which Polly replaces Al as judge. Edit

      • Flash: Yeah, I'm good. What about you? School OK? Everything all right? Katie: I don't know if the kids are getting dumber or I'm just losing my patience with them. Today, I gave them a quiz, asked them to describe Watergate. One of my seniors tells me that it's a very bad movie with Kevin Costner. (Flash laughs heartily) Edit
      • Flash: I get another chance to fix my life? Mr. Jones: Isn't that what you want? Flash: Not if it turns out the same way. Mr Jones: Work with me, I'm just your advocate. You're the only one who can make it better, but you won't get the chance unless you show the judge you deserve it. Flash: Maybe I don't. Mr Jones: Would you at least muster a little enthusiasm here. I need one more win to get my bonus this month and you're my last case. It's a ticket to the premiere of Beethoven's 23rd Symphony. You don't want me to miss that, do you? Edit
      • Judge Deborah: He wasted his life. Mr. Jones: I'm not saying he's a candidate for sainthood, your Honor. He was a young man with a good heart who was put in a terrible situation. He didn't handle it well the first time around. But I believe that with my assistance and the mercy of this court, he has what it takes to make the most of a second chance. On top of which he can throw the slider, and Lord knows our team needs a pitcher who can throw the slider for strikes. Judge Deborah: You can throw the slider, son? Flash: Yes, I could. Judge Deborah: Well, why didn't you say so? When your time comes, we want you throwing it for us. Get back down there and save your soul. Life sentence! Edit

      • Che Guevara Ray has a poster of Che Guevara in his apartment when David visits him. Che Guevara (1928–1967) was an Argentinan Marxist revolutionary who played a prominent role in installing the Castro regime in Cuba. Guevara, an atheist, traveled to Congo-Kinshasa in 1965 and later to Bolivia in unsuccessful attempts to incite revolutions. He was captured and executed in Bolivia. Edit
      • Bible Reference: Ye of Little Faith In chastising Flash for his lack of faith, Mr. Jones, he is quoting Jesus' words "O ye of little faith." The phrase appears in numerous places in the Gospels. Edit
      • Watergate: a very bad movie with Kevin Costner There never was such a movie. Kevin Costner starred in a 1995 film called Waterworld. Edit
