    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Jephthah: Let's hear it. Not every day someone turns down a pass through the Pearly Gates.
Janet Bryant: God has been very kind to me and, in my own way, I hope I've honored His spirit. But He did offer me His greatest gift of all and I foolishly discarded it. I discarded love, your Honor, and I would like the chance to change that if I can.

      • Janet Bryant: (to Brooke) You didn't have a mother. If she'd lived, I think she would have said these things to you. Your father taught you how to use your head, your mother would have taught you how to use your heart.

      • Janet Bryant: Nothing is more important than love. You've found it. Don't throw it away. What ever price you have to pay, it's worth it. Grab it with all your might and never let it go. Never.
Brooke Canby: (in tears) Are you an angel?
Janet Bryant: (laughs) No, but I'm working on it.

    • NOTES (1)

      • Al Waxman appears not as Judge Othniel in this episode, but as Jephthah, whose story is told in the Old Testament Book Judges chapters 11 and 12. This is the second episode in which Waxman stars as Jephthah, the first being Double Exposure.
