Celebrity dentist Dr. Sandy Greiner is interviewing a new receptionist and hitting on her. Finally she agrees to go to the opera, but Sandy has no intention of going to the opera - he's ordered a luxurious dinner instead. Ironically, he chokes on an oyster. '' ''Judge Othniel explains how Sandy has only seen women by their appearances and not as people, and how he needs to walk a mile in their shoes. Since Mr. Smith defends him, the Judge sends him along for the ride and the two return as Mandy and Lorraine.moreless
Mr. Smith: (closing monologue) Love is the only thing that can wound us so badly that we're afraid to ever love again, yet it's the only thing that can heal us as well. What it is about men and women that makes love so hard? I mean at the opera they seem to work it out. It's the only place on earth where a guy can fall madly in love, have his heart broken, get stabbed and, instead of dying, he sings. Or maybe that's it, keep on singing and hopefully along the way, learn how to carry the tune.

(on being shown a life record of seducing one of his receptionists)Dr. Greiner: That's a perfect example, Judge. I rest my case.
Judge Othniel: Well if that's your case, you had better rest because you've got a long hot road ahead of you.
Mr. Smith: Never good when he starts talking about heat.

(to Mandy)Mr. Smith: Did anyone ever tell you you look like Shirley Partridge? (laughs)Edit
