Episode Summary

Musical composer Tom Laskey is constantly bothered by his mentally challenged neighbor Harry, whom he looks down on with great disdain. After one of his tirades, he doesn't notice that the pilot light in gas oven goes out and ends up gassed to death. Tom finds himself in front of Judge Othniel, who shows him that Harry dies as a result of Tom having had him recommitted to a psychiatric hospital.''''The Judge sends Tom back as a street person only one hour before his death with the charge to save two lives: his and Harry's. But in the rescue attempt, Tom reports both he and Harry to the authorities and they are both put in the psychiatric hospital. While Tom is able to save his own life through his mother, he is left in the uncomfortable position of being both an advocate for Harry and finding a way to teach himself that he is indeed his brothers keeper.moreless
