  • One woman gets a chance to prevent the deaths of millions by murdering an infant Adolf Hitler

    9.2
This is definetely one of the best Twilight Zone episode. Its creativity, originality and claver twists remind viewers of the fifties and sixties twilight zone episodes. The character of Andrea is sent from an unknown future back to kill Adolf Hitler It's an interesting possiblity, the power to end millions of death with only one, but Andrea has to battle the consequences her actions will have. The ending is absolutely brilliant. It doesn't take a genuis to guess that she obviously wont actually end up killing Hitler but speculating the twists are fun, and the ending is a treat.

    A brilliant and inventive episode.moreless
  • A woman time travels to kill Hitler as an infant to save the future world from his horrific wrath. However, she creates the very monster she set out to destroy

    9.5
Best Episode from this Series(2002). This episode is the very meaning of the word IRONY. A woman time travels to kill Hitler as an infant to save the future world from his horrific wrath. She succeeds in killing the biological Hitler only to have the nanny (whom followed her) buy an infant to replace him. Not only is it ironic in the sense that the woman had great intentions but ended up being the creator of what she initially set out to destroy, but it also gives its own little rule of time travel in which you don't neccisary alter history, more as create it. Also, it was found the Hitler was in fact part Jewish, so I think the film kinda subliminally hinted as to why that is with the replaced baby! COOLEST EPISODE!moreless

    • Andrea: You ever try explaining to your parents why your DNA makes you the only candidate for a time jump?
Daniel: And they understand you're never coming back?
Andrea: I reminded them that Adolf Hitler was responsible for the deaths of sixty million people. Fathers, mothers, children. And that only I can stop that from ever happening.

    • (opening narration)
Host : What if you had a chance to go back in time, to save millions of lives by killing one man? Andrea Collins will soon discover this mission to be more difficult than she ever imagined, as she takes a one-way trip into The Twilight Zone.

    • (closing narration)
Host: A moment of silence for Andrea Collins. She sacrificed her life for the good of mankind, but she also created the very monster she sought to destroy. History can never be changed. Not even in The Twilight Zone.

  • NOTES (1)

    • Another concept explored extensively in previous TZ episodes, including "Back There" and "No Time Like the Past." The latter explored the concept of killing Hitler as well.
