I think that I first noticed Alicia Witt when she played Cybill Shepherd's daughter Zoey Woodbine on Cybill. Then, I was acutely aware that she played an insecure clarenetist in Mr. Holland's Opus. Lately she has been seen as Detective Nola Falacci on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, where her partner is Detective Mike Logan (Chris Noth--Mr. Big from Sex and the City). Not only is she beautiful and intelligent, she is also musically talented, playing piano at the classical concert level. She really did not hold back on Two and a Half Men, as her lap dance with Alan was both angry AND sexy. She gave good crazy melt down too, as her sudden religious conversion was a sight to behold. The sight of Berta in her Sunday Go to meeting duds itself was worth the price of admission. The final scene, with her red head peaking over the veranda of Charlie's Malibu beach house was priceless. Is there a new stalker in Malibu? She will certainly give Rose a run for her money, and I am looking forward to her appearing in episodes to come.

Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer have really hit their stride as a comedy duo, but Angus T. Jones, the half man, is in a kind of awkward age (there was an episode of Leave it to Beaver that dealt with this topic, and in it there was a magazine article entitled 'the Awkward Age'). Thankfully, he was relegated to a one joke role, a running gag which soon wore thin about about jock straps. I think the writers will come up with a way to handle him, but they seem to be having a hard time adjusting to the fact that he is no longer a cute kid. They will have to work a little harder integrating him into the comic formula that is Two and a Half Men, just like parents have a hard time adjusting to their little babies going through adolescence. I have faith that they will find a way, because they have certainly found the silver lining with Charlie Sheen growing older. An aging rake tries to act mature and do the right thing, but is thwarted at every turn. Comedy gold! Guest stars like Alicia Witt don't hurt, either!moreless
  • Replacing Missi Pyle with Alicia Witt kinda killed the moode. Did they think nobody would notice?

Replacing Missi Pyle with Alicia Witt kinda killed the moode. Did they think nobody would notice? Both actresses look nothing alike, sound nothing alike and act nothing alike (not that one is better than the other). Why couldn't they just bring Missi Pyle again? • Whilst getting Jake a Jock strap, Charlie and Alan bump into Jake's old 5th Grade Teacher, Miss Pasternak. Discovering her new lifestyle as a Pole Dancer, Charlie tries to help her out to improve her lifestyle.moreless

    7.0
This episode is really historically accurate to Episode 27 "A Bag Full of Jawea".

Miss Pasternak was originally a Pole Dancer at a Strip Club, and showed her Christianity-side in that episode too.

This all comes back in this episode, when Charlie helps her from her Pole Dancing job and gets her back into Tutoring for Jake. Miss Pasternak forces Charlie into a somewhat relationship, and she once again shows her christianity, although Charlie is incorrectly surprised at this.

This episode all seems to be done before, but with a new actress playing Miss Pasternak, and every character being more progressed since their last encounter with Miss Pasternak. It's just a short change in storyline. I find the involvement of a character from 4 Seasons ago to be very interesting, none the less.

It's a repetitive storyline, but an interesting episode. I thought the tease of Miss Pasternak becoming the new Rose was interesting, but there really is only one Rose, and though Miss Pasternak could be a funny replacement, I think it was just a nice way to create enjoyment through tease.moreless

Jake goes to buy a jock strap and runs into Miss Pasternak at the store. Charlie actually feels bad for what she went through because of his breaking up with her and hired her as a tutor. He regretted it when he found out that she was a crazy God lady... she was really odd... and it was funny what she did after Charlie fled. Anyways, I thought this was another funny episode of Two and a Half Men. It mainly focused on Charlie and his conscience and had a bit of Jake characterization also. This is the third episode of the show that I have seen and I must say, I'm hooked! I can't wait for the next one.moreless
  • Charlie finds out that a former fling is now a stripper.

    8.5
As much as I have criticized Angus T. Jones' portrayal of Jake this season he was acceptable here. He complemented Charlie well and actually had some decent lines. Of course Charlie stole the show as usual mocking everything in sight and having a great line about both Delores and him being on their knees at the same time. Not enough Alan for my liking though, although him throughout the course of the lap dance was priceless.

The fact that Delores ended up being a religious zealot wasn't the best twist in Two And A Half Men history but it did result in some good humor. Definitely a strong episode from the CBS comedy.moreless
