A Two and a Half Men Community
CBS (ended 2015)

... Hey, any excuse to put up a picture of Mila Kunis, right? The actress will be guest-starring in an upcoming episode of Two and a Half Men as a free-spirited drifter who shows up at Walden's door. And when a girl who looks like that shows up at your house, you think she's "the one." The problem for Walden is that he's about to propose to someone else. I guess this guest role was part of the terms of their recent IRL engagement? [CBS via press release]

I loved Julia Stiles and so glad she is getting her own TV series. I will certainly watch.

Wow. When did 'functioning zombies' become the hot premise?

Les Revenants. Demons are next: Constantine, Priest, The Diabolic, and Kirkman's Outcast. Also the owners of The Exorcist, have been shopping that around as a series.

CBS will save a lot of money if they will just stop airing two and a half men. It's so dumb it became an insult watching it. It's amazing that Chuck Lore who made The Bigbang Theory (which is brilliant) is the same man behind 2 and a half men. Quality really plummet rock bottom when Charlie left, he may be crazy but he is the man of the show.

Mom is still pretty good !

Ha, it makes sense to me that they both are made by the same guy. I view both how you view 2.5men. In fact, I view a lot of CBS as such. It seems like whenever they do have a show I like, it gets cancelled.

Ah. forgot about the Good Wife. It just doesn't smell or feel like CBS.

Lost was a nice credit, but he was also mayor of Gotham City, so how's about a shout out to the Bat.

Looks like USA is scraping the bottom of the barrel with that drama pilot. Horizon sounded very ambitious for them, but of course they passed on it.

It's a shame that USA is going under radical change, it used to be my favorite cable channel back when Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, White Collar were still on the air. (White Collar is debatable, final season is coming soon I think)

Monk is my son's favorite show. I stopped watching USA, when they ended The 4400 after 4 seasons, without giving it an ending. But have considered watching Burn Notice and Covert Affairs.

I am watching S1 of Burn Notice on Netflix, it's good. I am done once Psych ends tbh, nothing they have on air right now appeals to me. (Lost interest in Suits and White Collar)

There is still Graceland which I think is coming back for season two.

I really did not like Graceland, I really tried to like it but in the end I couldn't.

Agreed. I watched all of S1 but was bored most of the time. Serinda Swan is basically the best thing about that show.

I still watch White Collar. I think USA, AMC and to a certain extent Syfy...all need new scripted shows to replace the retiring ones.

The problem with USA is that they are trying to branch out into a "darker" territory with their shows. They've always been a blend of quirky and witty and that gave them a leg ahead of the rest in the past decade.

it could be Kristen Bell and I STILL wouldn't watch Two and a Half Men. sorry Mila.

seems like this attempt at Babylon Fields will have more sciency stuff in it, the original pilot a few years ago didn't have anything about the CDC that I remember.

Matt Passmore in a starring role has my attention.

I'm really curious about Empire. I feel like where my tastes are concerned it could go either way.

*wonders if Friends of the People will be available via torrent or hulu*

julia stiles in the lead role of a legal about a deputy district attorney, an LAPD detective, and a prosecutor. I can't figure out which she is supposed to be. anyone know if this means "blue" the youtube series ended after season 2 then? I haven't checked.

Nestor Carbonell in person of interest is all fine and good but Bates Motel season 2 is the bigger deal. that show is effing awesome.

The premiere was really good for Bates hotel. Too bad TV.com did not do a review!

if I'm remembering correctly, TV.com started reviewing it last season, but stopped due to low readership. But maybe they'll start again if there's enough interest :)

"julia stiles in the lead role of a legal about a deputy district attorney, an LAPD detective, and a prosecutor. I can't figure out which she is supposed to be."

She's the deputy district attorney. Elisabeth Rohm and Toni Collette are apparently the other two in this series.

thank you that is good to know. I think that might even have jogged my memory, something along the lines of Rohm being the one playing the cop..?
Reply
Flag
Yeah, I remember Rohm getting the job as the cop - lot's of "she's being typecast" comments. I'm glad that Julia Stiles has joined the show, I'm a big fan of hers and I'm looking forward to seeing her on my TV a lot more. Now I just wish Neve Campbell was still involved, I prefer her to Toni Collette.

"Guilt By Association, (...) follows a trio of women: a deputy district attorney, an LAPD detective, and a prosecutor who sometimes all end up involved in the same case."
Now, all they need is a female medical examiner or a female reporter and you've got Women's Murder Club. And then it gets cancelled after one episode again.

ha. that's exactly what I thought too...sounds just like Women's Murder club! It was pretty good. Wasn't it airing around the time of the writer's strike? I remember the showrunner quit and the writing went downhill in the remaining episodes before being cancelled. I liked the Lindsay Boxer character...so it's kind of cool that Angie Harmon plays Det. Rizzoli in almost the same manner in Rizzoli & Isles.
