This episode is about Charlie being set up on a date with a judge by Alan. This is the perfect premise for the show and this episode has great comedy moments.
The episode was funny from beginning to end with some great moments. The Jake bits were a slightly stupid and a silly way of trying to tell the audience he's "grown up". And trying to convince us that he actually knows a girl with his character is insane. That was very out of character. The ending of his phone calls is pure genius.
Alan, who I usually don't like, was quite good in this one, especially around the middle. The role reversal in this episode was done perfectly with Charlie being the bumbling person and Alan being the one who knows what he's doing.
It was slightly out of character though, that Charlie Harper doesn't know how to talk to women.
The ending was fantastic and it will be incredibly interesting to see what is going to happen with Linda.
