  • Another great episode of the show, entertaining and hilarious

Ok, this episode was definately an improvement over the previous episode and I'd classify it as 'Cleverly Plotted'.

This one centred on both Charlie and Alan, although not so much Jake, the brothers getting sick was probably one of the best things to ever happen to improve their friendship. So, Jake was taught how to create hilarious jokes by Charlie (lol), Alan caught the flu instead of Charlie and because of Charlie's weird ideas for double-dating, Alan got the incredible Hulk!

I'm telling you, Rose was quite the character on this one. All her "healing energy" was nuts. Then of course, Evelyn and Rose went out to lunch while sick Alan was alone without any help.

The best scenes were the "revenge sex talk" and the end when the brothers both got sick and revealed the truth to each other and the other person, lol.

Well, overall, an interesting/entertaining episode with more of a good plot rather than high laughs.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Alan: Alright, even if I weren't deathly ill, which I am, I wouldn't go on a blind double-date with you.
      Charlie: Why not?
Alan: Summer of my junior year? The Seals & Croft concert? You got the incredible cheerleader, and I got her sister, the Incredible Hulk!

    • Charlie: Desiree, Alan. That's like Desire with a yay at the end!

    • Rose: Do you feel the healing energy?
Alan: If I say yes, will you get off me?

    • Charlie: Hey, hey. Maple Loops is part of a nutritious balanced breakfast.
Alan: Yeah, if you eat it with a steak and some broccoli.

    • Charlie: Hey, how can you tell that an elephant has been in your refrigerator?
      Jake: How?
Charlie: There's footprints in the cheesecake.
Jake: But we don't have a cheesecake.
Charlie: That's the part you don't buy?

    • Charlie: Rose, this really isn't the best time. Alan is pretty sick.
Rose: Oh, no. Poor Alan, is Charlie taking good care of you?
      Alan: Not really.
Rose: Would you like me to take care of you?
      Alan: Not really.

    • Alan: Jake, go to your room.
Jake: If you're going to talk about sex, why don't you go to your own room?
      Alan: (turning to Jake) Now!

  • NOTES (2)

    • The German episode title is "Im Bett mit Angina", meaning "In Bed with Angina". The French title is "La fièvre du dimanche soir", meaning "Sunday Night Fever". The Italian title is "Contagiati dal virus", meaning "Viral Infection". The Spanish title is "A Sara le gusta el pequeño Alan", an exact translation.

    • This episode's end titles has Chuck Lorre's Vanity Card #113.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Charlie says Desiree is an actress on The Bold and the Bulimic, an obvious pun on the title of the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
