Episode Summary

Crushed over his break-up with Chelsea, Charlie goes missing and comes back to Malibu married.

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Tinkle like a princess

Okay, couple of questions here: Is Katy Mixon (Betsy) playing the same character as the one that had a three way with Charlie and Alan a few months back? It seemed like it, that character was named Betsy, but how come Alan did not remember her?

And secondly, when did this show become such a serious, hardcore drama? With Charlie and Chelsea being mature about their relationship, I thought I was watching All My Children or something. Very un-Two and a Half Men-like. The episode was still funny, but the show's new direction of definitely being devoting to Chelsea and Charlie (or Charsea, as teenage girls call them) is not something I approve of.moreless
  • Charlie and Chelsea break up with Chelsea moving in with her father and his boyfriend. Charlie becomes deeply depressed and doesn't seem to coming out of it until he seeks God's guidance. What comes next is a surprise for everyone especially Charlie.moreless

The vocal minority get what they wanted with Chelsea and Charlie breaking up at least for the moment. I'm not sure this is going to last though. Especially with the way Charlie acted or didn't act in this case. We also get an appreciation for how truly lucky Charlie can be at times.

Alan, Berta, and even Judith seem to have a lot of empathy for Charlies condition. Jake is just Jake. "Come on crybaby!" When Charlie finally seems to snap out it somewhat he ends up in a church of all places. Fortunately the next string of events does not seem as drastic as it starts out to be. As I inferred, it's Charlie being Charlie. I guess it's what we love about him.

The next step is where do things go from here? It will be interesting to see how the season ends now that Sheen is in rehab for the time being. Originally scheduled for 24 episodes this season, Men has shot 18 and this is Episode 16 so we'll see if they decide to shoot the rest or come back early for next fall. It should be fun, one way or another! Thanks for reading...moreless
