    • TRIVIA (0)

    • QUOTES (10)

      • Sharon: Oh Berg, ease up. She's just trying to have a little fun.
Berg: Yeah, you what a fun leads to?
        Pete: Laughter.
        Sharon: Happy memories.
        Berg: OK, shut up!

      • Germ: Hey man. Your new chick is hot.
Berg: She is my mother. She is not hot. She is warm and snuggly.
Germ: But she is like a 9.
Berg: Watch what you say around her. They just got divorced.
Germ: Ah, so she's like, available.

      • Pete: Shouldn't the furnace be in the basement?
Fire Inspector: No, you see there was a wall here and someone put cardboard in the little door here.
Pete: Oh. Oh. Oh! So this cardboard could be a shoebox, or a cereal box, or say a smoke detector box.
Fire Inspector: Good work Dunville. Those are all very good examples of cardboard.

      • Berg: I don't want you to hang out with my mother anymore.
Ashley: I'm so glad you told me this...it will give us something to laugh about when we go out again tonight.

      • Berg: I thought we could check out the fine art museum, I hear they have a collection of...fine art.

      • Berg: When did you start drinking?
Susan: About 10 o'clock this morning.
Berg: Okay, you see it's cute when I do it.

      • Susan: I'm going to spend time with whoever I want.
Berg: I think I've heard enough, we'll talk about this tomorrow. Go to my room!

      • Johnny: God bless the fire that ravaged this home!

      • Berg: I'm only going to say this once, mom; I don't like your new friends. That Ashley girl--nothing but trouble.

      • Pete: I want to go to where the fires are, gain experience up close.
Berg: Okay, I'll shove your head in the oven, you keep your eyes open.

    • NOTES (2)

      • Berg's mom Susan is now played by Bo Derek. Previously she was played by Cheryl Ladd.

      • The outtakes shown at the end of this episode include Traylor Howard falling in the kitchen, Ryan Reynolds stuttering on his lines, Bo Derek falling against the door and Richard Ruccolo choking on some potato chips.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • When Germ makes a reference to Berg's mom being a "9" this alludes to Bo Derek's movie "10". She played the fantasy woman of Dudley Moore's character, after this movie she pretty much became a household name.

      • Episode title: Burning Down the House.

This is a reference to a Talking Heads song of the same name.
