  • Quotes

    • Sharon: Oh Johnny, come on! I'm not a hero...I'm a heroine!

    • Ashley: Sorry, I don't date men whose necks are bigger than their heads.

    • (Police Officer shines light in her eyes.)
Ashley: Hey, I can still see a little, do you want to beat me with your pepper spray?

    • Ashley: How obnoxious!
Sharon: Yeah, but you are fun to shop with.

    • Johnny: Ah, old Mr. Lockwith, he just retired from the carpet business.
Sharon: Yeah, I think that's one of his old samples on top of his head.

    • Police Officer: (Asking Ashley out.) What repels me as a cop, attracts me as a man.

    • Pete: This is beef? That explains why I can't blow a bubble.

    • Berg: It's finals time at Harvard, I say we go hang out under one of the dorm windows.
Pete: Nah, I don't want to save one of those guys.

    • Ashley: I'm not afraid to spend the night in jail to get my day in court.
Sharon: Wow, and I was proud of myself for recycling.

    • Ashley: Doesn't anyone even care that I was harrassed and humiliated by the police?
Berg: We should send the cops a nice fruit basket.

    • Johnny: What's so funny?
Berg: I dated her and now she's everyone's problem.

    • Berg: I spent my day draining a quarter of puss out of some guy's ear.
Johnny: Well I guess I will skip the soup.

    • Berg: (in restaurant filled with old people) Want to cause some trouble? Bingo!

    • Johnny: Every restaurant should do an early bird special
Pete: I don't know if we can be here-I mean I have my own teeth, does that disqualify us?

  • Notes

    • In the footage from Johnny's camera shown at the end, Ryan Reynolds says to the camera, "I assure you gentle viewer, there are no special effects, no trick photography-I am in fact this handsome."

    • During the end credits we see behind the scenes footage from Johnny's P.O.V. with the camera.

  • Allusions

    • Episode title: Rescue Me.

This is a reference to an Aretha Franklin song of the same name.

    • Pete: Well she stole all the presents from Hooville but they just won't stop singing.

This is a reference to How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a story by Dr. Seuss, which was also made into a film starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch.
