Liverpool were given a slice of luck with the ref being useless but they still had to score.

Nice goal from Gerrard as well.

LOL... That's the beauty of it, gotta love how everything can change in less than a week. Liverpool get beaten by Barnley a non premierleague side and then beat probably one of the best teams in Europe the same week.

    Gotta love it

Manchester Uniteds game today... I predict it'll be tight but we'll break through eventually; 1-0 or 2-0 (I trust Ferdinand/Vidic to hold that central defense well)

The Materazzi sending off influenced the match. I don't think either of the yellow cards were deserving

First one was accidental and the 2nd one Torres dived.

    Tonights results:

    Arsenal 0-0 AC Milan
    Celtic 2-3 Barcelona
    Fenerbache 3-2 Sevilla
    Lyon 1-1 Man Utd

That Tevez goal was crucial for us, gives us the advantage.

Now that the first leg scores are in... Which teams do you guys think will go through to the quarter finals?

    I'm predicting:

    Manchester United
    AC Milan
    Liverpool
    Real Madrid
    Barcelona
    Sevilla
    Chelsea
    Schalke

I also can't wait to see the next fixtures once the 2nd leg is over and the teams have gone through to the next round!!

    Schalke

    AC Milan
    Barcelona
    Sevilla
    Man Utd
    Liverpool
    Chelsea
    Real Madrid
    Schalke

The one match I am mostly looking for is to see what kind of reaction Inter will produce against Liverpool. Mancini really need to play his cards well. This is his toughest match for the last 2 seasons. If they manage to score in the first 15minutes, then they have a chance.

I reckon they have till the first half to score... If they don't score even 1 goal by half time then they're out of it.

Mancini won't have both Materazzi and Cordoba, his basic defending duo, so I see Liverpool scoring one goal in San Siro.

If I was Mancini, I would play Balotelli. I saw him against Juventus in Coppa Italia and he was amazing. For me he is even better than Alexandre Pato. The difference is that Milan bought Pato for almost 17million and Inter got Balotelli from the Youths. Thus Milan play Pato, and Inter don't play Balotelli.

You have a point there. The question is whether Inter has registered Balotelli for Champ.League.

You'd think they would with Adriano gone they'd only have 3 other strikers.

They won't nake it anyway, honestly I don't know why we still talk about him

How many of you believe that Olympiacos stands a chance at Stamford Bridge ?

I honestly think they could sneak it... That one away goal could see them through if they defend well enough.

Well if we count out this season I'd say that Chelsea can "burn" Olympiacos with 4-5 goals, but the Reds seem to always score away in Champ.League this season (2 in Real Madrid, 3 in Bremen, 2 in Lazio).

I really doubt Olympiakos will stand a chance against Chelsea ... Their only chance is to stay 0-0 till half time, Chelsea will get more forward and they punish them with a counter attack. They have a good predator in Kovacevic
