UFC Fight for the Troops, also known as UFC Fight Night 16, is an Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts special that was held on December 10, 2008 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This UFC event is unique for its charitable contribution to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, an organization that provides financial assistance to United States military personnel suffering from severe wounds, as well as the families of military personnel who lost their lives while serving the country. During the three-hour broadcast of this event, over $4 million was raised for the charity. The main card for the evening included much-anticipated fights between Matt Wiman and Jim Miller, Steve Cantwell and Razak Al-Hassan, and Mike Swick and Jonathan Goulet, with a welterweight bout between Josh Koscheck and Yoshiyuki Yoshida at the top of the bill. UFC Fight for the Troops is an exciting and action-packed MMA event, featuring some of the sport's top competitors fighting in support of American armed forces.
