Gerry Anderson has done some wonderful and entertaining TV series. UFO is one of the best.
I think in a great many respects it is still ahead of its time.
He deals thoughtfully with the issues of command and attitudes to new and frigtening reality. It astonishes me that there are no ppl discussing his work.

    Any one want to comment?

I remember this one. And you're right. Gerry Anderson did create a lot of good stuff. But OH GOD I shudder when I think of the costumes. The plastic clothing and purple hair. But the sets and props were good. Hated the typical pie plate UFO's.

I was a great fan of UFO growing up. LOVED the theme song! I found R1 DVDs at AETV.com (A&E TV website). There are 2 volumes and they are kinda pricey, but well worth it. R1 DVDs may still be available on Ebay as well, haven't looked lately.

I loved this show as a kid, and wish I could find it on TV today. The follow up series, "Space: 1999," was also great.

UFO is on free Hulu. Sure it's dated - 1970 - but back then we had just made it to the Moon - look how much farther we've gone in 44 years! We can make slide rules out of plastic instead of wood now so they don't warp when you spill your coffee on them!
