  • poor Alex...

So I really like Lucy Liu (I even watched the annoyingness of Ally McBeal to see Miss Liu). So I liked her as another super strong woman character. I thought that it was funny that she looked just like Betty when she was young. I liked that she tried to make Daniel make up for the past. Too bad he was a typical man and faked it. I like that Wilhelmina still stood up for Alex, even when she tried to ditch him. And I hate that man who was such a jerk toward her. I am glad that Betty finally told Henry how she felt, too bad it was such bad timing.moreless
  • Here we go. In this Episode Betty meets Henrys girlfriend Charlie. Daniel meets a girl he stood up and Justin Hilda and Santos go to " Hairspray " . And Wilhamenia and Alexis have a " Girls Night out ".moreless

Okay ya'll see this episode was basicly crazy. First they had Betty Meeting charlie and then we found out the Charlie was Henrys girlfriend , witch was really akward , anyways. Later Christinas character becomes more important as we see when Sarah Jessica Parker ask's her to make a dress and Her and , uh whats his name , oh Mark helps her make the dress , because Wilhamena needs Christinia on her team. Then Betty and Charlie try to go to a party and Betty pushes Charlie into the wrong subway train and Betty and Henry worry about finding Charlie. Then Justin , Hilda and Santos go to Hairspray but the Subway car stops , Justin Trys to tell his dad about the show , it was a little Emberassing , but you gotta love Justin hes funny as hell. and His dad finally shows a Fatherly side so his charachter is also growing. Next Daniel and Grace Chin "Lucy Lou" reconnect and Grace makes Daniel Apologize to every girl he hurt in College , and they end up sleeping together , witch is no " big " surprise or anything. Finally Wihlamena goes out with Alexsis on a girls night out and Alexsis's stalker makes a bit with his friends to get her/his number and "Plays" her so Wihamena comes in and Knocks him out so their Charachters start to bond. wow that was alot , So my winner has got to be Santos because he's finally being a good dad to Justin. Okay so my Loser has got to be Mark , what was he doin with that dress on. So the tip of this episode is to get your man or women you have to play the " Game " come on do anything it takes including " Tellin the Truth " come on now its as simple as that.moreless

  • The loveliest gay child in TV history and a knock-out Vanessa Williams - how can you resist?

    9.0
Ugly Betty is not the most ambitious TV show out there. Sure, its message is totally humanitarian but it tends to fall short in the subtlety department. And the writing cannot begin to compare with fellow freshman show Brothers & Sisters. But then an episode like this comes along (the best one so far) and I'm still smiling several days after watching it.

Highlights abound: Betty trying to copy Christina's accent was hilarious, as was Christina's bonding with Marc. Vanessa Williams is always charming to see and to hear but I am always amazed at how funny and even touching she can be.

But in this episode, no one outshone Mark Indelicato. Not only was his voice surprisingly pleasant when he sang his little snippets from "Good Morning, Baltimore" (by the way, last week Elphaba, this week Tracy Turnblad, which outcast Broadway heroine will they reference next?), he also conjured up every possible meaning of the word gay when he danced around the subway, so homosexual and so happy. And the beauty of it all was how it was obvious that this was to be seen as enchanting, not as embarrassing. Let's hope his father will not forget that in coming episodes.

Sure, Ugly Betty dabbles in stereotypes in its portrayal of gay characters and so does The Class - but both self-loving non-straight-actors and happy gay relationships? It's enough for me not to complain.moreless
  • Amazing, unbelivible ugly betty is the next best thing

    10
Ugly betty always has that unseen twist which leaves nothing out of the question. The show is so unpredictible you never know what happens next thats why i just absolutely love this show, it has you on the edge of your seat.

In this show i love how Betty gets a bit jealous and listens to amanda's advice of releasing the inner mode girl and letting charlie get lost and the song at the end somes it up.

So another great installment of ugly betty cleverly planned to every little bit and comes out perfect, can't wait to see the next one.moreless

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • The subway scene where Betty and Charlie got separated was shot at the 7th St/Metro Center in Downtown Los Angeles; the LACMTA Red Line was a stand-in for a New York City Subway line.

    • When Grace is listing off girls Daniel treated poorly in college, she mentions a Julie Dwyer.

    • The episode mentioned that Grace and Daniel graduated college in 1995.

    • When Hilda, Justin and Santos are on the E train, it is seen going from 179th Street in Queens to the World Trade Center in Manhattan. However, the E train's Queens terminus has been Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer since 1988.

    • At the beginning during Betty's nightmares, the book Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants can be seen in Betty's nightstand. America Ferrera played the character Carmen in the movie adaptation.

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Christina: I'm Scottish! Not an Australian hooker!

    • Betty: (referring to Grace Chin) That's The Chin.
Daniel: Yeah (shocked at how good she looks).
Betty: Why did you ditch her, she's gorgeous.
Daniel: She didn't look like that in college, she had glasses and braces and this crazy hair.
(Betty gives him a look, Daniel realises what he said wrong and tries to fix it)
Daniel: Which totally works for some people.

    • Betty: Is this a good idea?
Henry: No. (Leans in to kiss Betty)

    • Wilhelmina: Good news. Marc found us a town car.
      Alexis: Oh, great.
Joel: You look familiar. Have we met?
Wilhelmina: We're not even meeting now.

    • Christina: (enters Wilhelmina's office) You rang? Do you want something hemmed?
Wilhelmina: You're not here to stitch. You're here to snitch.
Marc: She needs info, bitch. (Wilhelmina glares at him) I thought we were rhyming.

    • Grace: Oh yeah! The Chin is all about justice.

    • Betty: The subway's perfectly safe.
Charlie: What about the mole people down there?
      Betty: They're nice, just misunderstood.

    • (Henry comes in and Betty hides under a desk)
Amanda: Henry, looking for Betty? She's right down here. (to Betty) What? I'm bored.
Betty: Hi Henry. I lost a contact. Uh, not mine.

    • Justin: Come on mom, Don't Phunk with My Heart!
