  • Betty does perservere!

I love how Betty does her best to stand up to being on her own as several people, including her boss, are in the hospital. As she holds her own against Wihelmenia. And that she finds out about her as well as her bodyguard. She also sees Henry needing work in order to care for his baby and that he asks if both of them could only be friends. Alexis has some some of amnesia so she forgets her sex change and the stuff about her parents. Amanda gets something much more from her now deceased biological mom. Really good episode as I was glad that Betty held her own against the devil Wihelmenia.moreless
  • Betty's Back

Ugly Betty's back in fine form after the airing of the bizarre season 2 opener. Putting the season opener out of my mind, this episode went down smoothly and is a classic 'Ugly Betty' episode with great writing, good acting, and the usual conflicted characterizations of the show's main character played by America Ferrara. Amanda has miraculously shed the fat suit in a matter of days and is back as her loveable swarmy self-centered self. Vanessa continues in fine form in her role as a doubledealing corporate climber (her performance in the season opener as the woman in charge was dull and uninteresting) and she has fun with her lover/bodyguard who also happens to be her real-life former ex-husband. Hilda is back in character after the terrible and obvious subplot in the season opener as well. The only mismatch is the season so far is giving Mark Indelicato (Justin) a larger role by having him 'intern' at Mode. Sure, I like the idea of giving him more to do in the series but, an intern? Sorry, not possible. Child labor laws prevent that. Perhaps job shadowing or Nephew's Day at the office, but not an internship.moreless
  • Betty continues on her quest to become the most interfering, persistant and GREAT at her job ever When her boss and his sister are in hospital Betty decides to break into Wilhelmina's apartment despite her bodyguard and dicovers something...interesting.moreless

This one had just the right amount of excitement, charicature and comedy; the excitement coming from a hallucination Betty has of Ignacio cooking enchiladas in Mode, Betty meeting Wilhelmina on the roof among headless dummies, Wilhelmina screaming and smashing up said dummies in the middle of a thunderstorm, Henry turning up drunk at Betty's door and kissing her...or throwing up on her, we don't actually get to see. And oh, yeah, Igancio look like he might be about to get shot. And Betty should know not to trust Wilhelmina.

The charicature comes, as always, from Marc and Justin. Unsuprisingly, Marc helps Justin get over his loss and Justin is absolutely wonderful at his job and is duly rewarded. It was meant to be this way. I hope Justin stays at mode forever. Oh wait, he's too young. But still.

And the comedy comes from great little one liners from all the characters--and partly from Amanda's dog, although I didn't think it was THAT funny. But seriously, who is Amanda's father? I HAVE to know!

There were really only a few things I could possibly find fault with:

    1. Your boss or your FATHER. Bit obvious really. All she has to do is keep quiet about an affair between two people she barely knows.

    2. Charlie is not neccessarily a slut and it's unfair to judge her that way. Henry was being unfaithful to her too but no one complains about that.

    3. Hilda is not unhappy enough. I don't really want her to have to grieve, but in real life she would and this show is not being very realistic.

    Overall, great episode though.moreless
  • that's not a ugly rat, he's my dog!

More funthis week in this jam pack episode of "Ugly Betty." Betty sneaks into wilhelmania's house to try to retrieve the book and ended up below the bed. Wilhelmania may have found out that Betty's in her house. Alexis can't remember a thing. I love to see her in bed smiling having fun. That's what I love to see in her. I hope she keeps it up. Amanda got a dog who looks ugly. Ilove Becki Newton's performance. she's the sexist of the 'Ugly Betty" cast. Every thurday night, I'm hooked to "Ugly betty" and I don't care if I ever see "My Name is Earl" and "30 Rock " again.moreless
  • Was me or I saw it was a short episode! =)

I said that because they did a great work, was like short because they include every character, they gave each one their moment and when we see all this elements.. it takes time.

I heard Betty saying "Papi" was that the first time? I really can't remember usually is Hilda.

It's hard the decision that she is making because she really cares about Daniel.. (I use that points because it doesn't end.. yet)

Henry is back.. good? I don't know she was forgetting him when you do that.. I mean you saw that she was not so happy (even with is issue with Wilhemina)

Hilda: She is moving on'.. great after the hallucinations.

Daniel: Everyday trust more in Betty. Funny the way he.she was touching her.him.self

Justin: Amazing, great performance that he had.

Ignacio: your past.. its coming for you.

Christina: I love her accent, helping Betty.. good.

Wilhemina: A great dark side.. very classy.

Marc & Amanda: The sweet side always there.

I love the first scene when Betty is trying to get a bagel or bread.. that is the essence of this show, it has been turning a little dramatic and the comedy is out but it's great, amazing.. great storyline.

    Waiting for the next episode.moreless
