  • Let's bring this show back down to earth, okay?

    "Terrible"
Thought Season 1 was very good overall, but what gives with this episode? What's real and what isn't? Too many preposterous plotlines and rediculous, over-the-top situations to maintain any interest.

The writers have clearly decided that absurdity is what the viewers want and they are doling it out in supersized portions. After watching for an hour, I'm exhausted. Lastly, what's the deal with Santos? Was everything up until the last 60 seconds flashbacks? If so, it would help to know that! To imply that he was killed at the end of Season 1, bring him back as just injured, and then kill him off again, is just manipulating the viewer.moreless

  • What ever happened to starting the season with a bang?

This episode just didn't cut it for me. I sat down ready to watch this episode to see what was going to happen - but was looking for something to do while I was watching it at the 30 minute mark. I found her slightly more straightened hair rather annoying as it isn't what her character had in the first series and I think the whole "pretty" angle is being slowly infused into her character.

The twist with Alexia was good, but to a degree I found Daniel's apology and begging for forgiveness a little flat.

Overall it wasn't the strongest season opener that I've ever watched, but I'll be tuning in next week with my fingers crossed for an improvement.moreless

    "Perfect"
This episode was so amazing! Daniel finally quit the drugs and found peace with Alexis - who waked up as Alex! Marc was amazing in this episode.. He did everything to help both Amanda and Wilhelmina (Even though that kind of sucked) and he was really nice! I loved Justin! And Betty was also amazing (as usual) I can't even imagine how it must be to try to control the household when everything sucks! (Both for herself, her family AND her friends!) And last but not least.. Santos really died! I can't believe it! That's horrible, Hilda and Santos finally got together, and the he dies?! I cried like a baby when she finally realized it (and that was even though I already knew he was dead.. Stupid Denmark for being that far behind!)moreless

In the aftermath of the breath-taking season finale, Betty tries to get over Henry with help from Daniel, Daniel enters Alexis' room and finds she has reverted to Alex, Wilhemina deals with Clare Meade to save her marriage with Bradford, Marc tries to help Amanda find her birth father, who they suspect is Bradford, and Sofia is caught in her own twisted reality. This episode was so sad. Sofia is finally hit with the impact of her true love's death and Henry returns to town to win Betty back. This is sure to be an exciting dramatic season for all Ugly Betty fans.moreless

  • Really roller coaster episode!

    8.8
    "Great"
A really roller coaster episode that picks off from the great first season. As Betty is coping with Henry being gone. Hilda however, has loss her fiance forever. Daniel blames himself for being drunk and getting him and his sister into an accident. Justin gets stuck in a kids camp that he doesn't like at all and goes to Meade's to escape it all. Alex is in a coma. While Wilhemia, the person you love to hate, tries to use all of these to her advantage. As not all hope is loss. Henry comes back. As that indeed puts a smile on Betty's face. Really good second-season show.moreless

    • When Betty goes to visit Daniel in hospital and his foot is in a sling it is in fact a prosthetic foot. Edit
    • Some of the Spanish spoken in the telenovela nightmare is inaccurate. I.e. "Whore!" in Spanish is not the same that it sounds in English. Also, when Henry says "Did you break another vase?" he says "Se te rompio otro trofero", which is "Did you break another trophy?" Edit

    • Hilda: (about Santos) He's gone, Betty. That's the first time I say it out loud. Edit
    • Amanda: (to Betty) I know it might be hard to believe, but pretty girls have problems too. Edit
    • (At a natural disasters shoot) Betty: There is no one here who cares about changing the inside. They only care about fixing the outside. Wilhelmina: What's stumpy up to now? Betty: This concealer here, this isn't gonna change the fact that she doesn't have a house. And this-this eyeliner isn't going to bring back the people you loved. These women have lost everything and there is not enough styling gel in here to change that! (Betty walks off) Sheila: You know what, she's right. There's not enough styling gel. Edit
