  • When I say painful to watch, I don't mean in a bad way, I am of course talking about Daniel.

Oh my God! What more can I say about this shocker of an episode! I first started getting my suspicions about Sofia's true intentions towards Daniel the same time as Betty when you saw Sofia giving Hunter her 'ex-boyfriend' a huge wad of cash! I felt so bad for Daniel, despite the way he has treated women in the past he did not deserve to be humiliated on national television like that. I honestly can't believe the way Sofia treated him and the nerve of her trying to excuse her actions by bringing up the way Daniel has broken many women's hearts in the past like Daniel said he may have treated women badly but he would never do what Sofia did to him on national TV. He was obviously really hurt and I was impressed by Eric Mabius' performance. I was very touched by the look on Betty's face when she was watching the talk show and knew there was nothing she could do to stop Daniel getting hurt like that. I've loved Betty and Daniel's friendship since the beginning so it's always nice when you see these little moments that show how much they care about each other.
As with any fantastic episode of 'Ugly Betty' the dramatic parts were broken up by some hilarious scenes! My favourite was definitely Marc's 'Betty's screen savers of shame' followed by Betty's revelations about Marc's pictures on dudecruise.com. Absolutely hysterical! They have a weird kind of relationship Marc and Betty, don't they? Oh and also the scenes with Betty and Christina at the strip club made me laugh as well.
I think this show just keeps getting better and better and I look forward to keeping up with it and seeing how season 1 will come to a close. I'm also keeping a close eye on the Walter/Betty/Henry love triangle, I get the feeling something big may be coming...
A fantastic episode, I just hope Daniel can bounce back soon, he deserves so much better than Sofia!moreless

Well, I was slightly shocked with this episode. It was obvious that something was off in the relationship between Daniel and Sofia, but actually seeing it was quite astonishing.
After Daniel's marriage proposal to Sofia, the couple visit a popular show:
"The show begins and Sofia tells the morning show hosts all about her new magazine. She tells them that she is also sitting there with the most notorious bachelor in Manhattan...and that she got him to propose to her in 60 days. Daniel squirms as Sofia holds up the article and tells the audience that they can do the same thing. Daniel admits that he was not aware that she was doing this, but that they have fallen in love. Sofia turns to Daniel and informs him that he is the one who has fallen in love. She takes the ring off and hands it to him. While all of Manhattan watches the television show, Sofia tells Daniel that she has to focus on her work right now."

This episode of Ugly Betty is great, but its also really quite shocking in quite a few places. Betty moves down to NYW Magzine (New York Women), where she has quite a good start working as Sophia's assistant, she also meets someone who is very similar to her, called Ruthie. However, she soon realizes that Sophia has hired her for more sinister reasons than she first realized, her marriage to Daniel is a scam!! This scam is something she announces live on a breakfast show, breaking Daniel's heart. This quote was very funny -
Betty: I'm going downstairs to get lunch, can I get you anything?
Daniel: I have a new assistant now.
    Betty: Oh, yeah.moreless

I couldn't believe it! Sofia didn't love Daniel! What a b*tch! Only to make her magazine better and make herself look better. I bet no one will marry her now! Betty was so great at the end when she said I quit to Sophia and told her that Mode that don't lie. Marc is so funny. When he says to Betty how he thinks about her and Amanda. I hope Amanda and Daniel get back together because she totally beated up Sophia. Haha!! If I was Daniel I would of called Sophia a b***h on t.v. That would be so funny.moreless
