While flipping through the mock issue of the 100th Anniversary Edition of Mode, Daniel sees the following pages regarding the Editors-in-Chief throughout the years, "Cynthia Spain Era," "Fey Sommers Era," "Daniel Meade Era" and "Daniel Meade & Wilhelmina Slater Era."
The book Wilhelmina is seen reading in the hospital after emerging from her coma is titled, 'Better Healing Through Anger'.
Amanda accidentally calls Wilhelmina "Wilhel-mommy". In the episode 'Giving up the Ghost', Marc purposely calls Wilhemina "Wilhel-mommy".
Goof: In one shot we see Betty cover up Matt's card to mute it, however in the next shot it winds up in the orange juice jug without explanation.
Continuity - When Natalie hands Betty her name plaque, you can see a girl in a white top, carrying some jewelery, walk past and out of shot to the right. Scene then cuts to a wide shot to take in both Natalie and Betty at which point you see the exact same girl's walk past. It's a different shot, since you see Betty holding the plaque differently and the girl's head movement is slightly different.
When Marc tells Betty he finished trimming down the article, he clips the paper twice.
'Be Ok' Ingrid Michaelson
The quarter that Wilhelmina flips has the state quarter design on the heads side and the eagle design on the tails side.
Goof: When the text shines on Betty's glasses it's shown properly, but since it's a reflection it should be reversed.
Betty said she has been working at Mode for 3 years. Later, there's a sign during the show that says 'Fashion Week Fall 2009'. According to the timeline, Betty should be around her second year (2008).

Mark's tips on networking:
Step 1: Forge a bond - Your name, where you work and one memorable fact.
Step 2: Gathering information - In order to get info, you're going to have to give info. Trick is to make it sound juicy but really mean nothing.
Step 3: The exit strategy - Get in, get info, get out.
When Betty is looking at Daniel's recommendation letter, we can see that while the first and the last pages contain real text, the second one reads: 'ing em faccummy (...) do4bore te cugoero' etc.
When Betty speaks with Amanda and Christina, in one shot Amanda's hair is over the scarf but when she walks away her hair is underneath the scarf.
Goof: Betty's jealousy over not having her own business cards (ending with Daniel giving her some as a gift) is a plot point. But in the first season, episode four, Betty proudly handed out the business cards she got when she started working for Mode. Later that same season Daniel gave her business cards in a Tiffany card holder.
The helicopter that Alexis gets in at the end of the episode has its wheels retracting and in the next shot the wheels are down.
This is the first episode of the series where a character (Kimmie Keegan) refers to Betty as "Ugly Betty". It's also the first episode where the title card doesn't appear until we have a close-up of Betty, unless you count 'The Lyin' The Watch And The Wardrobe', where the close-up was of Marc disguissed as Betty.
The clip of Daniel drinking and clubbing with a girl during the Fashion TV coverage is from the episode 'Punch Out', and the girl is Petra (AnnaLynne McCord). Using an old clip may have been purposeful since Wilhelmina fabricated to the press the story of Daniel abandoning his illegitimate French son to go out clubbing.
When Charlie and Betty are at the Yoga Class we can see that Charlie's belly keeps falling down in her clothes. And when there is a close up, we can see the shape of the fake pregnant belly.
The new curtains in Daniel's office are gone by the end of the episode, when Betty tells him that she is not in love with him.
