This show obviously isn't sticking to any Spider-Man mythos, but I think it's hilarious! I'm enjoying it very much. Keep it up!

One of the selling points I've noticed this show already taking advantage of is the novel concept of crossing over characters from the Marvel library. While a very old idea in the comics, it's it doesn't happen as often in animated shows, so it got me wondering if the idea of a cross over still has any appeal whatsoever if you bastardise the characters beyond recognition?

This is even more relevant with the immanent release of The Avengers in the next week or so which is the first truly large scale team-up superhero film.

With only 5 episodes down and having multiple guest stars every week, not only do I feel like the appeal is substantially watered down, I also feel like we've yet to see any real classic villains from the Spider-man rouges gallery. And no. Venom does not count.

I also put to you that your average audience will not particularly care if Spider-man's teammates are Iron Fist or Power Man, or if he tangles with The Living Laser. The hard core fans will however, and if the written characters do not resemble the ones from which the fan base grew, is there any point?

A lot of my earlier problems cropped up once again, namely Spider-man acting like a irresponsible buffoon to the point in which they started a montage of it...think about that for a second...And yes, the cutaways. But they've been talked about to death.
