  • The temperature falls to below freezing

The temperature falls to below freezing inside the dome and they run out of fuel. Barbie lets Julia die of hypothermia so that he can remove a rod in her leg without her bleeding out and then he revives her, silly really because the rod didn't need removing at that point, they could have left it in until they got to a safe place.

Its on repeat, outside/inside the dome, more and more questions. No answers. Its getting worse by the minute. Hopefully they will answer all qestions in the last 2 episodes.

Once again the egg isn't happy. Someone is handling it and it ain't good. The weather inside the dome reacts becoming bone-chilling and icy. This puts everyone in peril just to stay warm enough to live through it We are led to believe that those in that town outside the dome (Zenith ?) are now keepers of the egg to which there's dire consequences. Everyone seems to be in danger inside the dome, even while the 4 are trying to re-group. Big Jim finds and saves Lyle even as his own son and wife seem to be, like most of the town, suspicious that he's really changed into some kind of wise and benevolent leader. Barbie and Julia avert her death narrowly. The nerd guy is exposed for working both sides and then, as morning breaks and the town warms, the dome surges inward in a kind of contraction.

Now, it's left open-ended as to what exactly must be done next in order to appease the dome. It is thought that those in Zenith must stop handling . experimenting) the egg. But, the situation is left as the end credits roll as dark and foreboding. It seems clear that the egg must return, or does it? This is a set-up episode as such, a bridge to something yet to be revealed. It's irritating as such, but it kept me watching and will assure I don't miss the next, hopefully, more revealing episode.moreless
  • Very very good! Spectacular ending!

    10
Another brilliant hour of the Dome this week as Julia's life is put on the line, as is pretty much the whole town when temperatures drop.

Health scares aside - and there was plenty - a lot happened, most notably with this Hunter guy and a new agendum revealed, as well as a discovery in the middle of the last person who went through the Red Door coming through in the lake...

Plus the ending of the episode was epic! I did think that the dome would 'contract' at some point - it was kinda obvious it would happen at some point, but I am very intrigued to see what happens as a result!

Looking forward to the last couple episodes of this season!moreless

    • Hunter: I wish I'd known you were mid-Glacial Period when I came here from Zenith. I would have packed different clothes.
      Norrie: Did you pack anything?
      Hunter: No.
      Norrie: Then shut up.

    • Hunter: Do you know there's a Little Bitch Road about a mile from here?
Joe: Yeah, it used to be the most exciting thing about Chester's Mill.

    • Julia: You know, if I didn't have a giant piece of metal sticking into my leg, this might almost be romantic.

    • Rebecca: Unless you want some serious frostbite, be careful you're not outside for more than a few minutes at a time.
Big Jim: So, don't linger out in the cold. Is that what you're saying? Thanks for the help.

    • Lyle: You got to listen to me. The whole world... was on fire. There were waves of flames a thousand feet up, circling endlessly. Destroyed everything... everything was just...
      Big Jim: That's impossible, Lyle.
Lyle: No, it's not. I saw it. It was beautiful. You should start thinking about where you want to be at the end of the world, Jim. 'Cause the end is coming. And there's nothing you can do.
Big Jim: I don't need to think about it, Lyle. I want to be with my family.
