Episode Summary

Carrie receives a phone call at the station from a man saying that he will kill someone in 16 minutes. She assumes it to be another prank the team is playing on her until he admits to killing someone the day before in New Jersey. Carrie is able to determine the location from background noise but the team arrives too late as a second man is killed.
This begins a back and forth battle of wills between the two while the team rushes to find a connection between the two dead men. In the meantime, Carrie plays the sniper's game in the hopes of avoiding further deaths.moreless

This was probably one of the most compelling episodes of Unforgettable to date. I'm not going to sum up the episode since the previous person did it so well... But what I am going to say is that the new character (the medical examiner) seems like a really interesting and compelling character. Her and Carrie really work well together, and I'm hoping she'll help Carrie to piece together her sister's murder.

Carrie's nemesis in this episode is also really great. He's intelligent, and he seems to understand that Carrie isn't just a normal cop. I really like where this is heading.moreless

A Serial Killer and a New Cast Member

This was a pretty solid episode. A serial killer takes Carrie head on, challenging her to keep up with him. His first two murders seem unconnected, but when the third victim survives, Carrie figures out that her husband was the intended target. Upon ensuring his safety, Al and Carrie discover that there was indeed a connection between the three men, one that dates back to their youth and the indiscretions they committed at the time.

I liked the twist at the end (no spoilers here!) and I'm sure some of this will be revisited down the road.

Jane Curtin is an interesting add to the cast. She is certainly a fine actress and I think her character will be a good fit, especially since she and Carrie have so much in common personality wise.moreless

- Emmy Award winner Jane Curtin joins the staff in this episode. she plays Medical Examiner Joanne 'Jo' Webster. Jo was the long-time Chief Medical Examiner for the City of New York who clashed with the Mayor over his selection of District Attorney. He couldn't fire her due to her seniority so he shipped her to Queens.
