  • I Wish I Had Carrie's Memory.

A female body washes up on a beach in the Hamptons, but it has nothing to do with the Long Island Serial Killer, the victims name is Shelly Brannigan. So with the help of Southampton Police Officer Gosling, Carrie and Al try to find out what exactly happened, according to Shelly' parents, the last time they saw her, Shelly was going out. With Joe, Murray and Lee turning up to help solve the case, the investigation takes a different turn. Joe working with Bloomer (the coroner) Shelly attended a party at the Mortimer's house ( criminally very rich), the party was for his daughter Lizzy's engagement to Travis Harrington. So Gorge Mortimer becomes the number one suspect, but that theory falls to the wayside when we discover more about the Brannigan's with the help of Carrie. Murray and Carrie pay a visit to Travis and Carrie picks up on a pen that Travis is carrying, he is allergic to peanuts. It turns out that Travis is really Travis Harlow and he and Shelly were in school in lslip. Al and Carrie pay a visit to the Brannigan's and that's where we find out that Spencer wasn't the Brannigan's son, but Shelly's. Shelly was pregnant and gave birth to her son Spencer, who is also allergic to peanuts and Travis was the father, that's why Travis paid her 10 grand. So Travis admits to killing Shelly, but its not true he is covering up for his brother Robert Harlow who was catering the party and we know Robert was shucking oysters with the murder weapon. They can't arrest him without a confession, so Travis and Rob have a meeting down on the mariner, which turns into a heated argument. Rob was the one who wanted the money, Travis knew that Shelly went to the party just to say goodbye, so Rob decided to murder her and suffice it to say, they got their murder confession. The ending scene was great when Eliot showed up, Joe and Ted, all 6 of them working well together. Another Fantastic Episode. Thumbs Up.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • In the autopsy room, when the camera pans to the corpse's neck as Ted is pointing out "the penetrating wound in the brachial artery" to Jo, the veins in the neck of the actress playing the corpse can clearly be seen throbbing.

  • QUOTES (1)

    • Ted: Uh, judging from the wound the murder weapon is approximately three inches long, with rather dull edges.
      Jo: You're very thorough.
Ted: (sarcastically) For a country coroner. What were you expecting? A potato farmer?
Jo: No, actually a feed store operator.
Ted: Oh, I was expecting a condescending elitist from the city.
